When we were returning from France we were supposed tu be getting the Hovercraft, but it was cancelled because of heavy seas. They held back the ferry and bussed us to the ferry port. The ferry was able to make the crossing, but you could still feel the swell. It was wonderful!

The other great trip was rounding the Kyles of Bute in a massive rainstorm - on the paddle steamer Waverly.
Pud looks nice, but the portion was too small
