Funny thing is ....I'm not keen on radish and celery either. I'm always afraid of choking on the stringy bits on celery (I have a real phobia about choking).

I quite understand that, Soozy.  I always double peel my celery anyway.

If you're not a fan of fennel or radish and celery then I guess that salad's not for you

Dont know if anyone remembers Alice from a couple of years ago (blonde ,tan etc)but she lives near me and her husband (who she has since left)paid a top chef to teach her a few dishes and she did really well until her repertoire ran out and she was left with her own ideas........well I wonder if Larkin developed a few knockout dishes and hes struggling now because he doesnt know the basics....but having said that he has just managed to pull it off

I do worry that he doesn't have a good standard of basic knowledge and is more the sort who is inspired and/or just wings it on flair alone.

yes and sometimes his flair vanishes too....hes got something but the other two are probably more skillful but boring

That's how I feel too Amythist.... I just think he has the potential to be a real star....
