I saw that re-scheduled date & time El and thought it must have been a misprint ...surely?

That's not a misprint. BBC Two have been repeating the series in the early morning with the semi-finals this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the finals next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

BBC have ignored questions from various newspapers etc about when (or if) the final will get shown.

Surely they must broadcast the finals in the evening , at some point El ?I can record it in the early mornings , but not everyone has that luxury .

I think there will be repercussions for the BBC if they don't show it one evening.
We may only get to know on the day itself. They only got around this afternoon to saying that both Friday's and today's episodes of Eastenders would be shown tonight whereas ITV and Channel 5 had already what was happening with their equivalents a couple of days ago.
Looking at this week there are a couple of possibilities. One is on Wednesday evening by postponing the new series of The Great Sewing Bee by a week. The other is by showing it on Friday in place of HIGNFY (the type of programme which BBC may not show until after the funeral) and Mrs Brown's Boys being a repeat,

Thanks Eugene and El .....looks like it’s going to be a busy night tomorrow

..and just to make it even busier...

It won't affect El Loro (or me for that matter ), but those who will be watching the return of GBSB on Wednesday may need to be aware that it crosses the final episode of the ITV drama "Too Close" (although they're repeating it at 11.45pm).
