Do not expect the final to be shown today as BBC has suspended all scheduled programmes.

Thanks El ....but I wouldnât be surprised if they reschedule it in to BBC2 .

Great British Menu won't be on either
BBC would have had a protocol established many years ago as to what to do with their scheduling at a time like this.
Whether the schedule suspension will be just for the rest of today or continue I don't know. Expect changes to the schedule even if it resumes for at least a week, for instance some comedy programmes would be replaced at the very least,

Thanks El.....tbh I do feel itâs a bit of overkill if it goes on longer than today .....and I say that as essentially a royalist .

A new series of "Have I Got News For You" was scheduled to start tonight. I would have been amazed if that had still gone ahead under the circumstances...

That won't get shown as BBC Two has suspended their schedule for the rest of the day.

They've stuck with guest presenters ever since Angus Deaton left. It was meant to be David Tennant tonight.

I liked Angus Deaton....He had a wicked sharp sense of humour....also like Hislop...Merton gets a bit on my nerves sometimes.
*edit.......I do like Merton on 'Just a minute'
No announcement yet as to when the final will be shown.

I'm guessing but it could be next Friday at 21.00 replacing Have I Got News for You and Mrs Brown's Boys. BBC may make a decision once the details of the funeral are known. Although that would be during the day time it's likely to be shown again in the evening. I think that's why the BBC have yet to say when Masterchef will be shown.
No news yet from the BBC re when the final will be shown.
Meanwhile, here's an episode from the very first series back in 1990. (opening and closing credits missing). It seems to be the only episode of that series on Youtube. Although it's not the final, the person who is announced at the end of this episode did go on to be the champion.
(Loyd Grossman was the host back then).

Oooo thanks El ....Iâll definitely check it out later .
No indication yet that the BBC is intending to show the final.
There's mention of a repeat showing on BBC Two on Friday 23rd at 3.20 in the very early morning on the BBC website,
If any of you get to hear if or when the final will be shown, please let the rest of us know.
