Thanks Baz
The first week is Monday 24th, Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th, They all start at 21.00. Monday and Wednesday 1 hour, Friday 30 minutes long.
Days and times may change in following weeks. For instance, there are FA Cup matches the following week. BBC One are showing matches on Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th so that week, the Wednesday Masterchef would have to move to presumably Thursday.

Thanks El
Iâm fed up with competitive cooking programmes (and biased judges) so I think Iâm going to give this series a miss.

Thanks EFFT Thatâs good cos it means for that week there is no clash with Pottery
First episode tonight
First 6 of 60 contestants. First test is their signature dish though they now bring their own ingredients (if they remember to). The weakest 4 have to do a Three Ingredients Challenge - today showcasing bream, fennel and tomatoes. 2 of them go home.
Then the 4 surviving contestants cook 2 courses for John and Gregg but also 3 previous Masterchef contestants who have gone on to work in the food industry. The guests' favourite cook goes through to the quarter-finals on Friday, 2 others are determined by John and Gregg, the other contestant goes home.

Usually, yes ......but it slipped my mind that it was starting today
Theyâve jazzed up the judging a bit this time ....probably not quite as open to favouritism
The other change that slipped my mind (Baz, you aren't the only one ) is that the Masterchef aprons don't get handed out until after the first two contestants go home.

and that the contestants supply their own ingredients for their signature dish
I doubt if we are the only two who wonder if it's financial
