She has Alzeimers, hasn't she? I suppose if you wanted to be cruel, you could tell her she was a life-long Marxist.

I will be pulling on a tutu as well as the shoes...She wanted to smash the working classes and damn nearly did it.
I hate her for what she did to my family as well my fellow man, I never bought into the "Everyman for himself and stamp on someone's head to get to the top" bullshit. She bred this selfish element in society and yet most tory's sit back and bemoan the lack of morals in today's society...Don't make me larf! It started with her and her yuppie generation *spits*

It started in the late 1950s, I'd say.
Maggie thatcher is the strongest and best leader that this country has ever had.
She moved all the working class folks on that wanted to move on and not just an elite.

Or a working class area dependant on industry eh?
According to her there's no such thing as society, so she doesn't have to feel guilty for trying to destroy it.

Not at all! I hate the woman for trying to destroy the working classes and indirectly putting us in the position we are in now...That is not to say that our current government is not culpable...
I was growing up in the eighties and my mum almost lost her home due to Thatchers policies. I am no lover of Blair but I do believe that under him we had near full employment and jobs!
Our government is indeed culpable though. Totally agree
yeah, like the way we at least got SOME employment rights and a guaranteed minimum wage? not to mention working tax credits to help the low paid? ALL things that SHE and her lot fought so hard to prevent us getting? and lets not forget that public school tw@t Cameron will no doubt waste no time removing if.. or sadly, WHEN he gets into power,
the new Tories the Friends of the working classes, dont make me laugh,
they will have us believe THEY invented the NHS instead of doing everything they could to stop it next
if/when they get in, dont be poor, dont be low paid, n whatever ya do dont be old or sick,
SOME people who are weary of Labour might be fooled into trusting them, I NEVER will.
Oh frig - look wot i started

I agree Lassie.
We're obviously in the minority here but I can honestly (in my own opinion of course) she was the best thing to happen to this country since Churchill. If only the rest of this sad shower we presently have in power showed the grit she had, we wouldn't be in the position we're in today.
Like you, I find it very sad that folk would actually rejoice at the death of anyone other than the likes of truly evil folk like murderers!
I never cared for Tony Blair but I would never wish him harm or state I would like to dance on his grave when dead, no matter how much he lined his own pockets at our expense!

HAHA yeah and there really IS a tooth fairy and Santa Claus DOES exist,
whats next ......oh I know, all ya have to do is work hard and you will be rewarded.
forgive me if I seem just a tad cynical but, I am a bloke who was made redundant over 7 times under the Tories, SACKED from one job I had been working at for over 6 months, for the CRIME of turning up in my motorbike leathers, SACKED instantly and on the spot from another job when my boss heard that I had applied for another job, SACKED again from another job for ASKING if there was a union, theres more but ya get my drift, the bosses mantra became there are plenty on the dole who will take your place if ya dont like it
EEEEH great days under the Tories, still it wont be long before theyre back.

I know I shouldn't bother rising to the bait, especially as I'm supposed to be keeping my blood pressure down for the sake of the baby BUT...
1) Of course there are no working class areas dependant on industry any more. Maggie made sure that we no longer have any industry for anybody to be dependant on.
2) Not all benefits are undeserved. That's why they exist.
3) Not that it's any of your business whatsoever, but I don't work now as it happens. I had to give up work when I became chronically ill. However, I am supported by my husband who has worked very hard since the age of 17 in an industry struggling to survive because it too largely relies on the few remaining industries in this country. Just today it transpires that another industrial plant is to be closed down because work will be moved to Germany. Why? Because Germany has supporting industries in place which make it a more viable country for businesses to thrive. We don't. Thatcher's economic policies were entirely based on short term gain for the few members of the economic elite. You are fooling yourself if you believe any different.
4)My views on Thatcher have been derived from a variety of sources. Firstly, the fact that as a child, I was forced to move from North Wales to South East England because my father needed to change career as he worked for the steel industry which Maggie had set her sights on closing down. Secondly, observing first hand the impact that her policies had on the mining communities in Yorkshire. Thirdly, my first class degree in history, part of which included the study of the socio-economic impact of Thatcherism in the UK. None of my views have been influenced by tabloids or adopting the views of my parents. I have observed, read and come to my own conclusions on the matter.
