They both seem to have tried to come across as wise, and as experts in life, humanity and all related things.
Some may feel that the appearance of both of them is some gesture towards covering up basic insecurities.
They both seem to have over-compensated to me.
I think they are both immature and both make many misjudgments.
Don`t like either of them.
Your description fits Marcus much better than it does Siavash.
Siavash is not a false friend, Marcus is.
Not once have I heard Siavash claim or pretend to be wiser or knowledgable above other HM's Marcus does all the time.
Marcus is controlling and thinks the show is all about him. Siavash to me is very easy going and laid back which is not an act you can't keep that up for 7 weeks. Siavash in no way shape or form could ever be vas bitter or as twisted as Marcus.
Siavash is thoughful and very mature for a 23 year old man.
Siavash never followed the cool gang in thier merciless bullying of Freddie. A lot of the times when there was conflict in house Siavash was the first person to try and cool things down.
The only mistake he has made, is getting caught up in Noirin's narcisistic, fame hungry, emotionally immature behaviour, and doing the dirty on his girlfriend on the outside.
