from channel 4

Now this is awkward. Marcus and Noirin have been skirting each other since Noirin has been getting it on with Siavash, and since Marcus told Noirin she wasn't his friend anymore. Strong words. But then there's been some strong feelings involved with these two. Unrequited love on Marcus' side, perhaps, but the pair did strike up a friendship, and it looks like after a few difficult days, Noirin wants to repair the damage.

Marcus was sprawled across the chairs in the Garden, covered with a duvet, and Noirin came over to join him. After Noirin gingerly started chatting about Big Brother, Marcus finally cut to the quick.

"Are you happy?" he asked her, dispensing with pleasantries and pointless diplomacy.

"I woke up in a bad mood this morning. I'm trying to keep busy," she replied. "Are you?

"No," came his deadpan response. Marcus didn't budge from his spot, flat on his back in the chair, eyes closed. He wasn't about to make this easy for Noirin.

"Why?" she asked.

"Lots of reasons," came his reply.

"Do you still hate me?" she ventured.

"I don't hate you," he said, still not moving. There was a pause more pregnant than Davina in series 7.

"Are we still gonna do London??" she said, but Marcus didn't say a word.

"Maybe," he said. "Why would you want to?"

"Why would you not want to?" she responded. The old answer a question with a question trick.

"Cos you don't treat me like a friend," he said.

Holding her chin in her hand, she explained to him that she'd come in the Garden to talk to him, to try and get him to help her clean the Bathroom, so they could spend time together. Yeah, that's an invitation that's definitely gonna work.

"You're an idiot Noirin," said Marcus, eventually cracking a slight smile.

"You're an idiot," she said smiling back, before moving in to touch his hand.

"Are we friends?" she asked.

Marcus didn't give her a straight answer, instead saying: "You chose to drop me as soon as the next thing came along, as soon as Bea and Tom came in."

With the first steps made, the pair began an epic heart-to-heart, with Marcus insisting they move onto the decking under a duvet together, and explaining to Noirin everything he thought she was doing wrong and what had happened to their friendship. Noirin sat and listened obligingly.

"I'm sorry if I upset you," she said as they finally shared a huge make-up cuddle.

"I'm sorry for the way I've been," he said. But Marcus clearly had one thing on his mind.

"What's going on with Siavash?" he asked.

"I dont think we should talk about that," she said. But Marcus began a full-scale assault on her burgeoning romance.

"I think if you were on the outside you wouldn't get a look in," Marcus told her. Noirin continued to listen as Marcus pulled apart her personality, her romance and everyone else in the House.

"You're an idiot Noirin. You're an *******," he said, half smiling. "I should hate you but I don't."

After more chat, Marcus suddenly said: "I wish you fancied me. It's amazing how much you listen to people just cos you fancy them." Noirin said nothing. But Marcus tried again.

"It felt nice holding you. Do you feel safe around me?" he asked.

So was he being a true and honest friend, or is this the ramblings of man paralysed by love? And what is she doing sticking around to listen to it all? These two, we just can't work it out.

Didn't think you'd be too far behind Wink

I have a question for you Soozy. If that's ok.

You have a daughter. She comes home from school in floods of tears because one of the other girls tore her personality apart, made fun of her physical appearance and made her cry.

What would you think about the kind of girl who could do that? Wink

But Noirin hasn't done that in the house. How would you feel if your daughter came home and said that a man who she told time and time again that she isnt interested wouldn't leave her alone and tried to control who she talked to and who she liked?

Ah ok. So because she hasn't 'done that in the house' that negates what she herself says she does and who she is. And when you say she hasn't ripped people apart inside the house, are we ignoring the time she ripped Siavash and his dress sense apart, for example? I just want to be clear on what we can and can't talk about when it comes to Noirin.. because it appears that everything other HMs do and say, inside or outside the house (even things that are not proven but are speculative) is food for discussion and example.

I haven't said anything about what Marcus does as being acceptable. Unlike some Noirin fans who completely refuse to accept that what they are accusing Marcus of, with regard to that news report, is EXACTLY what Noirin has said she does.

Well.. without the crying.. so far..

Marcus says that he doesn't like Noirin's personality in the house but he was hoping that outside of the gameplaying environment of Big Brother she might be different. With Siavash I think it's a bit of lust and the desire up his game in his attempt to win the show.

The bottom quote is what he said today, he has spent probs over a week telling her and other HM's he doesn't fancy her they are just friends when it's OBVIOUS he has a bad crush. To appear hard done by when you can't be honest about how you feel deserves no sympathy in my book.
Be honest with me and you will do no wrong..

She doesn't have a problem with being his friend. It is he who can not accept thats all she is.

He doesnt know how to handle it, forgot all his talk about girls on the outside world, we all know that deep down its all bullshit.

He is a very determined person and sure of himself but its all a face, he knows that he doesnt have much luck with women, the boy is naive and lost at the moment, cant blame him really, he just doesnt know how to deal with the whole thing so he shuts the doors and hides.

It is a self confidence weakness but not something that he should be mocked for

I would probably say, well stop encouraging him then Nod

Having said that..... I agree about him trying to control her and who she talks to.

Ah right. Well I will say that yes, Noirin has done that in the house. She has also done a little of her other claim to fame.. been 'very manipulative'.

Marcus has some issues in that house. I am not going to argue you with you on that one. But whether that translates to RL, none of us know. He hasn't admitted to being such: Noirin has confessed to her character traits.

I have to say though, as far as control freaks go, he is pretty inept.. because a true control freak and manipulator would have Noirin on a 'leash' and she isn't is she. If he were, she wouldn't have gone within spitting distance of Siavash. She would have done what she was told.. even when he was away from her and in jail.

She is not the little hostage you think she is.

I have found with this years HMs none of them seem able to say in a very loud voice."NO" I would have said it from day 1. "NO don't hug me" NO don't touch me" "NO don't stroke me" "NO don't tell me what to do and who to talk to"
