Karma, it'll all be fine Although I am a little concerned for the doctor you are seeing tomorrow, if you need bailing let me know!
It's only up the road from us, I'll bear that in mind
Is it Ashford? They are really really good there! I had my op there a few weeks ago and the staff were excellent.

I'm always bloody hormonal! Nah I asked that too, and they said no. I think it might be an infection and these deposit things are just age, will see what the doc says tomorrow.

No I was at the other one near Isleworth, the GP is just up the road from Jacks
Please do not remind me of when I got sent for a mammogram

Well i thought that!
They are brutal aren't they? I thought the one from side to side hurt more than the up and down one.

No seriously I had to have a mammogram! I had a lump in my nipple so they sent me to the hospital. Thinking they would cut it out or something the next minute what bit of flesh I had on my chest was spread out infront of me like two 4 inch flat just milked titties flattend between the sheets of glass!
I was mortified It was like being piched by a giant

And on that note I'm off...night all!
Night mate! Oh and that text you sent me earlier
I have just read all through this thread and it has made me cry with laughter. I have this image of boobs in a sandwich toaster.
So a gentle for Karma and the girls and PMSL for the imagery.

I hate the way they push and pull you over the machine
Hope all's well for you
Hmmm...well. for better or worse, cervical smears aren't something I'm ever going to need.
But I did have a mammogram about a year ago...and I suppose I'll be getting them more regularly now; my sister has just been diagnosed with a grade 3 tumour...

I just wicki'd barium. It says it's used for teles You sure they gave you the right treatment?
Barium is used because it's opaque to x-rays, so it shows up anything unusual.
And if you think Barium enemas are unpleasant, don't ever volunteer for a phosphate enema...

Contortionist too eh?
They're not in the bucket yet! I think I'll stick with me frozen veg, it'll all go wrong otherwise
Have you no cabbage?
cabbage leaves are recommended.
Cabbage leaves dont work. When I had K my mum came armed like something out of Crackerjack with about 6 cabbages and made me walk around the hospital with these bloody green leaves sticking out of my bra. I walked around like a bloody idiot for 3 days with these things and they did nowt. It's not that kind of pain croc, it's a lot sharper and my lil's so hot you could fry an egg on it.
I thought mastitis but that's been ruled out
And it's more to the side going underneath my armpit aswell
sounds like some kind of infection Karma, seriously if symptons are hot and sore I doubt 100% that its anything sinister

I hope so, the pain is bloody horrendous at the moment, I feel sick with it I'm sitting here rocking backwards and forwards like a mad person to try and take my mind off it.
I'll have to start a new blog on Livecloud 'Karma's poorly tit' and do updates and stuff

She's being very brave and positive, making jokes about the chemo losing her hair, and so on...she doesn't really understand quite how serious it is.
Which means I have to pre-edit everything I say to her, and the rest of the family, and of course they all know I probably know more than I'm saying; it's a bit of a strain, and it's making me a tad more tetchy and less bouncy than I usually am.
And now I've brought your thread down, too...sorry...I think I should just go to bed now

Don't edit anything or tread on eggshells....in my experience the last thing any cancer sufferer wants is to be treated like, for want of a better phrase, a cancer sufferer.
Having people pussyfoot around them is extremely irritating.

Don't you DARE apologise you numpty! Talk about it as much as you like, it may help others on here too
I agree with Croc re how you handle it aswell. Maybe your sis is just trying to keep positive and this is her own way of dealing with it, she's probably done all her own research and knows exactly what might lay ahead.
Awww mate feel free to chew my ears off anytime ok? xx
Bless you, Karma_
But I'm still going to apologise...for coming into your thread and not even mentioning your poorly thruppennies. I'm sorry; even though this is a bit late,I hope you're feeling better soon (and I did smile at the frozen peas falling out... ).
And Croc, you're absolutely right, I know; I've dealt with enough cancer sufferers to know how upset they get when they think they're not being told the truth about their condition.
But this is my baby sister, whom I love to bits.
From when she was little and being bullied by our obnoxious brother, right up to crying on my shoulder when her last marriage broke down, she's always come to me when she needed help, and between us, we've always sorted out her problems.
I can't bring myself to be the one who has to tell her what her chances of survival are, and wheat she'll have to endure if she is to survive.
I can't fix this, and it hurts...

Why does it have to be so black?...everyone I know that has had breast cancer has survived...one person I know took the losing hair as a chance to have a dead straight bob wig cos she had uncontrollable curly hair and she said it was the only time she ever got to have the hairstyle she really wanted!
awww Sarum i'm so sorry to hear about your sister, as you say, too much knowledge and all that. Be brave hun, am thinking of you

Sorry to butt in, but that is one serious glass-half-full, not-empty approach! Liking her style!

I've only just got back and saw this, I just don't know what to say except all you can do is try and be strong for her. I can't imagine what it's like, I've never had to be someones rock with this illness but I'm thinking of you matey xx
My lil is still extremely painful and as I work my way through the frozen food section of Tesco's we are now onto half a packet of stir fry Saw the GP today and he's put me on strong antibiotics to see if that sorts it out and if not then I have to have more tests and stuff next week. I'm alright though. (Lil's mate Bill next door is fine and dandy)

Croc, I treat cancer patients almost every day...I know that at the level of the disease she has, her chances of surviving the next five years are only 50%, and even if she does she's going endure a lot of pain, and end up disfigured.
I do try, but it's a bit hard for me to put that to her as a positive thing...

Look I know its shit, believe me, but 50% is 50%...sort of glass half full rather than empty...and I hope she'll see the disfigurement as a small price to pay.
Good luck for the pair of you anyway!

I know, 50% isn't as bad as it could be.
I suppose it's an occupational hazard; I generally see the failures, not the successes, pass through my theatre doors, which has a tendency to darken your viewpoint a little...

probably....you see the ones that come back rather than the ones that have their surgery and follow up treatment and then are done and dusted...and there's loads of them!!
