Much as though our generation would like to think that we were the ones who liberated women from all that sort of rubbish, i'm afraid it hasn't happened.
Be it people suggesting that Gail might like to wear a wig, Noreen being a slag, or some other moron thinking that she should have a boob job, young women IMO, aren't much better off than before.

As an example: I might say to a friend who has been putting it about a bit 'you old slut/slag' and we would laugh about it. I have often heard women saying this to each other amid fits of laughter! I am aware that some are offended by the word, no matter how its used and would be very careful not to say it to someone who might take offence!

Can't say I have ever used that word to anyone in a light-hearted way, but yes I agree you should be aware of who you say it to, if you must say it Nod

"You SLAAAAAAG!" Mad

That would be the East London way then

in North London (for some reason) it is customary to insert an 'H' after the 'S' for added emphasis.

"You Shhhhllllaaaaaaaaggggg" Nod

In recent years I have only used the word once or twice with my closest friend and with my old workmate who certainly was one!

Sadly I think that's true. I hate this double standard thinking and I hate even more that girls think that they can behave like guys now and its OK and then get called all sorts of names behind their backs Frowner
