For all you ladies out there... I'm sure you have tried to do something dramatic with your hair or Make-up for a night out and the whole thing went tits up!! I have found myself in that situation many times!

Now I was just wondering if any of you have used any books that show you how to do things like smoky eyes, or plaits in your own hair etc? I would be willing to spend about £20 on a book. So have any of you used any good step by steps book sand can recommend them??

As angelicarwen suggested a lot of the youtube videos are good for that sort of thing... also a cheaper alternative to a book are magazines, they always have lots of make up tips and instructions and for hair styles too

yeah i 2nd this. Lauren luke is brilliant. For hair the magazines they have good hair style ideas for all lenghs of hair.

Also QVC on the beauty sections show you really well how to blend and put on make up etc.

Also get a makeover at boots or the body shop - ours here is free, i also got great tips from my makeover, different colours i had never used before.
