Although I live in the area they deliver to, I'm not expecting any parcels so it shouldn't affect me. Many companies use Yodel to deliver their products so a lot of people could be affected.

The latest news from Arrow XL is that they aren't able at present to make deliveries today or tomorrow to a long list of postcodes which are shown here:

They say if you are one of the affected customers to contact the retailer you used for further assistance.

A seller on Gumtree claims Yodel tried to deliver to my house 3 times BUT they haven't left any proof and i'm starting to doubt delivery attempts occurred.

They are an appalling company Saint. I was waiting for a delivery and they said they attempted numerous times, the problem is I was on holiday and at home and they never called. I have heard some scare stories of how they treat parcels and where they leave them. If I order from on-line retailers I try to find out who the courier company is and if it's Yodel I try to get them to use another company, even if it costs me. They don't always oblige I have to say.

I love lands End's stuff, but they use one of the other delivery companies that have a similar dodgy reputation. Most of the time it has worked out OK, but a few years back an order worth over £250 was never delivered. Lands End apologised and said they would send another lot. I asked if they could use a different courier as there was as much chance of them losing the second parcel as the first one, but they said they couldn't. Fortunately the second parcel turned up!

Do they leave a card saying they called?

I had a delivery problem on my birthday with them. Some one sent me some wine. It's complicated but one bottle was broke and I didn't get the delivery until a few days after. Driver said he'd delivered but someone had rejected it.....supposedly he'd gone to the wrong place.  They redelivered a few days later minus the broken bottle in a wine stained box, with wine stained bottles.

Obviously.....he's broken one and had it in the back of his car until work on Monday 

The company that it was ordered from were very good though and refunded the P&P and gave a £10 credit (Aldi)

Not on the occasion I was in, but on another occasion they did, they left a number of them, none of them filled in, no contact details and when you go to their website it usually directs you to the retailer for queries.

My Dolche Gusto coffee is delivered by Yodel. Wonderful company. I get an email telling me when it is dispatched, and another telling me where they have delivered it to! I am never in, so they always leave it with a neighbour!

We did consider changing the coffee machine to a Nespresso, but I just love the fabulous service we get from Yodel

Now ... don't get me started on Hermes ...

Southern deliveries are ok then......it's the Northern ones they have problems with
