It was more the ducks growling at her!! she gives it indoors with the boys, and likes to think she is a little wild thing, but she is not so sure of herself in the great outdoors!! little wuss!!!
Its Zeus and Atlas' birthday today They are a whole 1 year old!!!
Here is some pics of them and how they have grown. The pics on the left were taken the first day we got them and the ones on the right were taken today .....

Having a big party for them?
Well, not quite a big party, BUT there was cat food cake with a candle, and they have been spoilt with toys that light up in the dark, and a water fountain! I think they have had a good first birthday!!......
The two tier cake is chicken on the bottom tier, and turkey on the top tier!
Aww, Happy Birthday Atlas and Zeus.
Atlas was so tiny when you got him, it's great to see how well he is doing now.
Good to see the boys sharing their cake with little Egypt.

OMG! I LOVE the cake!!
I feel....vindicated, for some reason. I did (sort of) the same thing for Kenji for his second birthday (much smaller scale). Here's a pic:

I fear so.
We got Zeus and Atlas "da mouse" it's a little mouse that goes on "da bird" wand....they totally love it.........though it would seem Egypt loves it more....
Happy Birthday Zeus and Atlas! Aww it's amazing to see how they've grown up! Loving the videos, I could watch them jump about for ages.
I went with my niece to the vets with Hugo to get his booster jab,he hates the carry case and it took two of us to get him in,then he broke out the front of the case & broke the plastic hinge. We had to turn it on its base with him at the bottom of it,he wasn't happy and yowled all the way to the vets. He's fine at the vets, just hates the carry case. That was the rabbits case so we'll need to buy a tough wire mesh one for Hugo,he's so strong, vet also said he's put on 100 grams not that much but she said cut back on his treats etc. It's my niece's partner that spoils him.
katty, I have the same problem with Kenji and his carrycase. It's so bad that it makes the whole visit intolerable for ALL of us. I got permission from the vet's office to bring him in on a leash and harness, and that has made a huge difference. he's already used to riding in the car outside of a box, and I just carry him into the vet with his harness and leash.
Would that work for Hugo?
katty, Minka was like that , vet advised to leave her carrier somewhere that she could access it , and after a few weeks she was happily going in and out of it - she gets in it herself now when I have to take her anywhere . The other thing we did was put a towel over the top of the carrier so it was darker for her but she could still see outside , that quietened her right down .
I'll say to my niece about getting him used to the case.Lori he had his harness on too in case he escaped again from the case.
Calling all cat laydeeeees ... lets talk crap!
Yes, back on that litter subject, i have a discovery to share with you.
I was recommended i use this from a few people on the bengal forum and decided to give it a go. Then when i was over feeding the breeders kittens when she was poorly i saw she also used it. It clumps really really well. It is on a par with worlds best cat litter because it is a natural food based littler (think worlds best is corn). Its flushable, and good on odour control. You can buy a 25kg bag of it for about ÂĢ11.50 approx so far better value than any litter you can buy.... and it is .... chick crumb Turns out its a bit of an inside secret that its a great thing to use as cat litter. Ive gone through a 20kg bag and will, without doubt be using it again. Fab stuff.
list of places to buy it:

I'll be damned.
Gypsie, is it a particular brand, or just ANY chick feed?
Guess I'm gonna have to find a slightly more local source than you gave.
yeah, delivery on those might be a bit costly.
Its any chick crumb at all lori. I got my initial bag off ebay but since found those links and a place local to me that is cheaper (cause of no delivery charge).
Well, I start by checking my local pet stores, and branch out from there. My parents live on a farm, but they are 2 hours away!
I just googled and it seems there is a few different varieties of chick feed, but 'Chick crumb' is the actual name of one type. (it looks like worlds best cat litter) same colour and little pellets. Maybe your mum and dad could get you mega kg of it... enough litter for years
(its wrong that that makes me feel quite excited)
found this person in the US talking about it (seems to be referring to is as crumbles?? so may be what its called over your way).
Yes, I've seen chick feed, chicken feed, poultry feed and now poultry crumbles. I will definitely find some to try. If all else fails, I can order online, looks like.
Thanks, Gypsie!
it is safe to say, Zeus does not like having strange men in the house.....we had two guys come to fix the central heating, and zeus has spent the whole time hiding outside and has attacked me for trying to bring him indoors, even though the guys have now gone
Awwww....not really a guard cat, huh?
Kenji LIKES people that come to do things. We had a guy come over and build wall-to-wall bookshelves downstairs, and Kenji was "helping" all the time. That guy didn't know WHAT to think.
Yes I have just popped in to confirm that you are all indeed mental!
Not like us we adopt a very parent/pet relationship in this house.
*goes to find the cats cocktail frocks remembering we all have a table booked for 8*
As an aside I took Jake the Syrian hammy to the vet today,he seemed off his grub and his bite seemed weak etc,to me.Cue jake when the vet got him by the scruff to see his gob he turned his head to the side and bit her knuckle hard and locked on!vet then said "There's nothing wrong with his bite!".ooeer! sorry etc says I ! however his pee is stinking a bit so he may have a urine infection maybe the wee bugger was in pain. Anti biotics prescribed.
Poor Jake!
Poor vet!
I have helped Zeus over the trauma by feeding him some special pudding
*shakes head in disbelief*
If these cats ever learn your passwords, you guys are in big trouble.

you would be amazed at what they have searched for on the net between them
Poor Jake!
Poor vet!
There's a vet that writes a column in the local newspaper and he states the animal that bites vets the most is hamsters! however a hammy bite though painful,( think four needles sinking in),is less damaging than a cat or dog etc ,unless the vet sees maybe twenty hammies a day. Jake is not a biting hammy,he's never bitten me .I have had some bites from previous hammies ,mainly in training them in the hand. They can bite deep and draw blood...ouchy! That's why they don't make great pets for young children etc, they see them as furry wee bundles etc and the hammies object to being toys.
