and then there is the seductive rolling around the floor making cow eyes at us...  before rolling back round, front paws down, back legs up & akimbo, tail lifted out the way...  & she does the backing up dance to us... chirping away..

She backed into the dogs crate like that this morning...

he looked more than a little startled

Ahh, couldnt breed unfortunately. Our cats are pet standard, not really breeding standard. And F1 boys are sterile.

We decided we would have to some outside space built before we could get little roman or pharaoh  another cat .

Har har at "tart" animals. Our wee late Cleo rabbit when she was young and still intact..matured pretty damn quick. She would roll in front of neutered boy Rio rabbit, then lie on her back, she would "box " his head and his rear end and nudge her head under his bum.She would hump his bum and his head, then "Binky " jump in the air in front of him spraying urine on him.He alas just looked totally bemused being three years old and ball less.I too got the urine spray on me legs and she'd run in circles round me

I miss the wee grey bunny.

oh my!        There has to be better ways of pulling the boys!

Katty...    I know you do.     in fact... have another

Dirtyprettygirlthing

Awww katty, She sounds a character, rabbits are such sweet little creatures. Ours like to sit on each others faces i try to discourage it, them being sisters and all

Ditty, The F1 is for first generation, they go f1 f2 etc, but funnily enough does tie in with the plant thing.. although i didnt know that

rosie, they do look wild, ive just been nosing through the facebook pictures of the breeder and this is a pic of the mum.

they look wild, and sound wild (the sound is amazing, its like a wild cat "wooooaaaaaawww" rather than a meow ( did you like my impresison I really dont know how to describe it)  but thats the appeal for me.

The are just pussy cats, they are usually smaller than normal cats, so he would be smaller than our.  they are just big loving softies, I've tickled one on the tummy and trust me there's nothing wild about them. The wild animal licence in relation to them is up for review by many councils, and many are going to scrap it because they are not "wild" animals, just small harmless cats with an exotic look. People keep Asian leopards as pets, no prob at all.

I squeeeed at work today...

I have always wanted (& will one day have) a couple of Tamworth pigs...

My boss is from "old money"..   we work in a barn conversion on his land...   outside the barn we have chickens (which I have become very fond of...  and I take care of on Mon, Weds & Thurs)..    he was telling us today that his grand daughter is nagging him for a micro pig!!    She'd only see it a couple of times a year when visiting...  the rest of the year he would be MINE... ALL MINE...  as he would be kept mainly in & around the barn.

boss said he hadn't said yes yet...    YET!    I am gonna make this a double pronged campaign!

MICRO PIG!!!

Lori, can you block that phone ip

No way, man. WAAAAAY to entertaining watching this unfold.

Awww.......the F1s are beautiful, really stunning. I'm fascinated by all cats, wild or domestic. I can totally understand how tempting the offer is, Gypsie! Your little bengal family is pretty much perfect already though.

Cats in season are funny aren't they......although you have to be really careful. When they really get into it, you have to watch them closely if there are any windows open etc. Years ago, our young cat was just a year old when she started yowling and crouching with the bum in the air etc. She'd go to the staircase and yowl up at it, the sound was peculiar, like a 'yowyowyooohhh' sound.

Then one night we opened the kitchen window just a crack to let out some cooking smells, and then she was missing and we found a tuft of fur on the sill. A couple of months later, she had four beautiful kittens, I stayed up all night with her playing midwife.

When I was little and my pet cat was in season, I remember taking her outside with me and sitting with her in my arms, I had an audience of tomcats in minutes before my mum told me to come back indoors with her!

omg!   that could actually BE our kitteh!!

Awww... but the piggies...  the piggies are so cute!!

I can already see the drawback of boss getting a micro pig...    Me getting too attached to it.   I am already coveting his chickens & his dog (his dog is lovely... he's called Homer & he loves me! )

Still..  what will be will be...

He was balking at the cost (approx ÂĢ650, which is about $1000 in your money Lori)...

but that is about the cost of a pedigree dog.... so I don't think its that extortionate...   not when he paid ÂĢ125 a head for some pure bred chickens a few months ago.

I suppose this is the wrong time to talk about expensive pork chops?

I'm just kidding, of course. I think they are pretty cute, although I have no desire to have any (and Mr. Lori would...would....go toes up? have a cow? laugh non-stop for 3 days? if I ever even brought it up.) That IS pretty spendy, though...
