So, if i leave here on monday about 9, drive to london, pick up the cat, then on to lori, then back to my mums... i could be there by ohhhhhhh about 6, next month
That gives us plenty of time to come up with a viable story to give Bob, then, right?
Ive got it Do what i do with dresses, when he sees the bengal pottering around the house, just say... what that old cat, ive had her for years

That's a GREAT idea! (*I* use that with new clothes, too!)
I'm not long back from visiting the breeder of our boyz....
OMG her house is sooooo full of cuteness!!!!
there is a little boy there, 10 weeks old who is just not growing he is sooooo tiny and sweet!! there is nothing wrong with him, that the vet can find, and he eats, he is just sooooo small.....smaller than Atlas ever was
she offered me one of her laydee cats who she isnt going to use anymore for breeding!! Gyps doesnt know this yet as she is on herway to Glasgow
(Can't believe I'm typing these words again)
Are you going to take it!??!

Are you going to take it!??!
Probably not the little boy, no. BUT she offered us one of her girls who she was using to breed, but is having her neutered soon and she will be looking for a "forever home" for her, I have briefly told Gyps this in a text, and she said "I take it you just told her you need to speak to me" so who knows how big our cat family will get
Oh, and Slinki...if you see this...Gyps said The guy who has Suki hasnt got back to her yet, so dunno what is going on there
Crazy cat people.
*is jealous. really.*

just this minute got a text to say she got there safely! she didnt leave til this afternoon, so not toooooo bad!
That's nice, Ickle.
Does Ditty know?
does she want a boyfriend, or two?
what about an internet romance....Zeus and Atlas are getting a bit desperate now...
on a serious note though, there is a link a couple of pages back to a forum where there is a section for re homing Bengal cats... some are irresistible and in that case they are FREE!!!!!!!
yes.. I know!
I made the mistake of telling her about one of the kittens my friends cat had just had.. she is marked like a fresian cow.. & they'd called her Moo Moo (which is one of Ickles nicknames)..
& so began the "I want the cow cat" campaign!
I have never had such a dutiful daughter. the dishwasher is emptied & reloaded three times a day.. I am no longer out of the kitchen & she is cleaning it down.. she is being tolerant, polite & downright nice to MrD.. to the extent where he said "what does she want?"
The boy sussed it & said "she wants this kitten that looks like a cow"
.. and to my amazement MrD said it was ok (with a whole load of terms & conditions attached... relating to it being HER cat.. she sorts the litter tray out.. she helps pay for its keep etc etc etc).. he also thinks AJ will enjoy the company.. it will fulfill the paternal yearnings in him
So yeah.. we're getting Moo Moo in a couple of weeks..
We've been to see her again today.. didn';t take any pics.. but I have a pic I took of her last week when I saw her..
She wasn't happy being away from her Mum then.. she was much more confident this week.
does she want a boyfriend, or two?
NO! hahahaha
I think this year may be first time that Santa will have been asked for the removal of cat ovaries in a Santa Letter!
(I won't be wrapping them up & putting them under the tree though )

don't tempt me!
anyway.. its too late now. One of the reasons this is even happening is that these kittens desperately need homes. My friend took in a cat that the people next door were kicking around . A few weeks later she seemed to be a bit fat & lo & behold she was pregnant.
So.. they had that litter, found homes for 3, but ended up having to keep 2. So, from no cats to 3 cats.
Then Whiskas (the original cat) got out before they'd got her spayed & got up the duff again.... Moo Moo is one of 6 from this litter.
They have gone from no cats to 9 cats!
found another pic..
She's a wee cutie, Ditty - no wonder you agreed to let Ickle have her.
Awwwww.....she IS a cutie!
*presents Ickle with her MCL badge*
Proud to have you, Ickle!
TBH Yogi.. I could have resisted.. I resisted when the first litter was born..
My main concerns are the road.. we live on a residential road, so in theory it shouldn't be the problem that it is.. but so many people I know have lost cats on it.
And then a few months ago a neighbours cat got hit by a car & staggered onto my drive & it was me that took the poor thing down the vets (he didn't make it )..
I am going to try the thing where you carry the kitten to the side of the road when its busy.. someone said that that scares them & makes them wary of roads...
although Ickle is considering making her a house cat (??).. & has taken inspiration from Zeus & Atlas's harnessed walks..
we'll see..
Aww, that's sad about your neighbours cat.
I've never had a cat so can't give any tips about keeping her safe near the roads.
The walks with a harness may be the way to go.
House cats live longer than cats that are allowed out.
Kenji is a house cat.

hmmmm... its a fine idea..
can you cat proof a garden.. to stop the getting out?
Go back a couple of pages and look at that fenced-in patio sort of thing that zazz/gyps posted. It's a great solution!

I don't think the dog would be right impressed though Lori
hey ho.. we'll just have to play it by ear I suppose..
There's been a change of heart on the name of the kitten..
MooMoo as a nickname.. Faythe as her proper name
(reference to a series of books about Werecats, the Faythe Sanders Shifters series by Rachel Vincent)..
I am quite chuffed about this.. I wasn't looking forward to Mooing as I called for her

Haha!
When I was kid, my mom had a poodle named "Napoleon" (yes, we also had a Josephine). When I was 8, we moved from the states to Scotland, as my dad was in the Navy. We called the poodle "Nappy" for short. In the US, of course, that means nothing, but in Scotland....

yayyyyy..... more mad cat laydeessssss
Hmm, and it looks like im going to be mummy to a third child... I dont look old enough
PLUS, ive only gone and got my big brother interested in getting a bengal
*and my work here is done*
Feckin' Hugo took a dump on my carpet! It was on Sunday, I was just about to sit down to dinner.boak!
My niece stated he's never done that before, though Rio rabbit lies on the rug,so maybe he was marking his territory. His litter tray was due a clean so maybe that had summat to do with it too.
Oooo, Gypsie! MCLs unite!
katty: bummer.
I can't tell you how many times I've said something on the lines of "He's never done ANYthing like THAT before!!!"
Lori, i think we are normal and anybody that isnt a mad cat laydeee is just in denial
Katty, It could be the litter thing, i know bengals are really fussy about clean litter. Or it could be that he feels threatened. Maybe the scent of other animals is upsetting him. you can get some stuff that removes the smell of cat poo and wee, i forget what its called. I mean removes it to them, so they cant smell where they have been and therefore return to the same spot. Ill have a look on the bengal forum when my internet connection is a little more stable, its all over the place up here x
My husband is DEFinitely in denial.
Atlas and Zeus are REALLY missing Gyps...so much so, they had me awake til 5:30 yesterday morning(lucky I didnt have to be in work til 6pm last night...just finished) Atlas was wanting to play fetch and Zeus was crying for Gyps...
where as when I came in, all they wanted was food, and now all they want is play and it's me crying for Gyps
mental little buggers are going mad, you can tell they havent had much company today!!
alkihole (in the hope it knocks me out and I wont hear the demolition) is in order now!!
