I'm usually very cynical and don't trust a lot of people. BUT I tend to think the whole of mankind is basically honest and moral, until proved otherwise. I am a contradiction in my own mind.

I'm with you on that! I thought some of the questions were skewed the wrong way for example 'honesty is the best policy' and 'there is no excuse to lie'. I disagreed as sometimes an untruth spares feelings. That's not Machiavellian, that's just decent!

that's where i got confuddled..cos i'd say something else to not hurt someone's feelings an stuff like that.....

or maybes i am a super bitch and should go buy some shoulder pads an be all joan collins dynasty stylee... Big Grin

Think l may still have some at the back of a wardrobe, since l seem to be the lead Biatch at the mo, we should join forces and create a Dynasty. Big Grin

He ranted and raved, I was in tears - but the end result is that we will never have dark meat turkey again. So, it IS better to tell the truth!

Lol, I guess I'm like Mr Q and don't take criticism well no matter how constructive and gentle. The last time my head of department at school (who is a v good friend as well as colleague) told me 'off' for missing a deadline on some number crunching bollox I cried for a week.

I made a point of being early with the next deadline tho so I suppose in a way you're right, her honesty made me pull my socks up.

I still maintain I wouldn't tell a friend if their new haircut made them look like a smurf tho. Laugh

See, I probably answered this question a lot differently than I would have answered 2 years ago. I have renal failure and the only thing keeping me alive is dialysis 3 times a week. I have seen several other patients in my unit decide to discontinue treatment and they are dead within a week.

However, we do euthanise animals/pets to stop their suffering but draw the line at humans who are suffering. I happen to believe that their should be a choice.

I understand what you mean and have heard the news broadcasts about elderly people thinking that perhaps they should end their lives to spare their loved ones, etc. It should always be a choice, much like a termination.
