Well, historically a pub is about booze.

But not always these days. You can go into a pub and have a meal with a coffee or tea?

maybe a cafe would be a better idea on the M40, a pub on a motorway is ridiculous IMO. Passengers drinking whilst someone driving a car along a motorway is a recipe for disaster as far as I'm concerned 

I can see both sides of the argument I guess, it's a tricky one

I was as an au pair in Madrid... they drink but in weeny amounts compared to us, and diluted with food. Can you believe it! Puffs!
