I've just posted in a poll on MSN......should pubs be allowed to open in motorway service stations.I said yes.........people should be trusted to not drink and drive

The only way you can be 100% certain that you are not over the limit is not to have a drink. A pub on a mainstream road is asking for trouble.

As the fellah on the article this morning said.........there's a supermarket not 50 yards from him where peeps can buy booze. This isn't all about alcohol I don't think

Well, historically a pub is about booze.

But not always these days. You can go into a pub and have a meal with a coffee or tea? 

maybe a cafe would be a better idea on the M40, a pub on a motorway is ridiculous IMO. Passengers drinking whilst someone driving a car along a motorway is a recipe for disaster as far as I'm concerned

There's loads of pubs near motoraways  and just down the road from motorways..

It shouldn't be a  problem if there is one on a motorway, who in their right mind is going to go for a boozy night on the M40?

All the M'way services in Spain (that I know of) sell alcohol.

I was as an au pair in Madrid... they drink but in weeny amounts compared to us, and diluted with food. Can you believe it! Puffs! 

It's about who's sensible, and who's not.
