I have an iMac, last years model, but having seen this years I feel I need to upgrade as it's very sleek and sexy.
Am I mad ?

I think it might be a case of selling the iMac I'm currently typing on and putting a bit of cash toward the new one.
But yes, I might just do so in the new year.
ITS SAYS saint ON THE TICKETS !!!!!
Some of us need to go to work
*storms off*
Do you think a novice would be able to work one of them out with the different os for example?
I'm looking for a new lappy at the mo and had noticed those but I am self taught on me old lappy and I snooker easily. I find the iMac scary because it's the unknown and would have no-one to guide me round one.
Thanks Baz
This is a line of inquiry I need to follow up
I'm on 1mb memory at the mo on this and it's letting me know it has a character all of it's own

I have found it very easy to use, especially as the system guides you through setting it up. Yes, there are differences between Mac OS and Windows, but there are also similarities. My Mac has never crashed and is easy to install and remove applications. Like everything, a bit of time invested learning a few elements of the OS is useful.
For balance, I also have a PC running Windows 7. I don't have any operating issues as I have used Windows for years, but I do find it is less stable than my Mac.
Mac's tend to be more expensive than PC's, but I do find they retain more value when I have come to sell them in the past. So swings and roundabouts.
What I would suggest. If you are considering one, go into an Apple Store and have a good play with one. They really don't mind you spending a long time messing with the computers. They will also give you a run through.
There are also some YouTube demos that you might find of use.
.
I'm sure we can help Velvet out if a Mac is purchased
But yes, when I got my first I was surprised how quickly I adapted and changed to the OS differences and how easy the OS was to use.
