You'd never get a line like that in Eastenders 

Just watched the episode now.  Yes, Owen DID say that LOL.  And Gail said 'I wish they WERE John and Yoko, maybe THEY could give peace a chance!'  

I noticed they were black on Monday's episode and then blue on Tuesday, but weren't they supposed to be seperate days?  It wasn't on the same episode was it?

We also laughed at those lines and yes Aimee I agree, EE don't do humour do they

i think it was the same episode, i'll have to check to be sure though, it was when she was at Heathers flat and then she ran home to see baby George being taken away

Crikey Terry is huge Aimee.  I was quite shocked.  I hardly recognised him.  He is quite different.

It was all a bit cheesey the way they wrote Betty out 'it was the last page of her book' , but I was still a bit sad when they showed the old photos on bar thinking of the real Betty.   

As for Terry... I love that he's still so loathsome!    I was reading somewhere he doesn't care if they kill him off - he's a  journalist now apparently and it sounds like he just goes back to Corrie for old time's sake as much as anything else. 

Yes I also am not keen on Betty's exit, and think it was a bit shoite.  Terry IS a good character though isn't he?

Although it's a few months since Betty died in rl I thought Rita and Emily in the pub scene were genuinely reacting to their memories of how they felt/feel about the death of a friend.

Another good storyline to bring back Terry who will be the troublemaker he always was in the past

I'm not really liking Gordon much and think the scripts are pretty twee and puke making - but it is quite poignant because I'm always thinking the actors are talking about a real friend.

As Bill Kenwright (Gordon) was an impressario for a long time and is a Director of football club it's been a long time since he's played Betty's son. Maybe that's why I feel more for Rita, Emily and some of the other cast as they relive her passing as they spent a lot of years with Betty as an actor and real life friend.

Yes a fitting tribute that had me teary eyed. I was thinking during the episode that the photo on the bar of Betty should be put on the wall. I'm glad they've done that, it's Betty as we'll remember her.

Yes it was good tonight  I think there were real tears for some of them too.  

I am glad they decided to not pursue the Betty being left the pub by Annie Walker thing, as I don't think this would have held much water.  A letter saying you are leaving someone something wouldn't be the same as a will would it?  And After Annie died, who DID take over?  And did they buy it or what?  Coz if they did, and it changed hands over the years, then I doubt Gordon would have had a claim on it anyway.

I am getting pissed off with the Audrey/ David /Kylie storyline BTW.  It's becoming tedious  I hope they end it soon.

ALSO, the Sunita and that annoying twat of a husband of Stella's is grinding on my norks!  When they smooch and fondle, it makes skin crawl!    He looks old enough to be her dad too!  Though he is only 10 years older in real life!  Shobna who plays Sunita is 46 this year!!!    She looks at LEAST 10 years younger!

Awww i really liked the farewell to Betty, it was very touching and i agree i think there was some real tears there 

bump I am wondering where it's going with Tyrone and his bunny boiler of a girlfriend?  And would Tommy REALLY have dropped everything for that gorilla of a father of his.  the storyline is a bit shit imo.
