I thought the scenes between Carla and Ann were good tonight. When Ann first came into Corrie I remembered I'd seen her on tv before but some time ago and that she was a good actress, and tonight she proved it. It's been bugging me what series she was in in the past so I checked online. Apart from many things she's taken part in she was nominated in the 90's for a Bafta in the best actress category for a role in A Bit Of A Do opposite David Jason...I used to watch that so that's why I recognised her.

She was also in the programme Duty Free with Keith Baron, she played the wife who was being cheated on but somehow almost always had the last laugh. I think she's acted the 'mum' role really well - she has played 'irritating' to an art form but last night the 'tragic' was really good too.
