The place or the football club? Only been to Liverpool once, about 5 years or so ago for a meeting, just before Christmas, and gave an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money to a woman who was begging and gave me a BIG sob story......

Mostly the football club and their fans which I suppose equates in some way to the people. They live on their history and shove it in your face every chance they get. The fact they are history never occurs to them. I'll always love Liverpool for the best pop band of all time (The Beatles) but as a city and a people I have found them to be utterly loathsome. 

Just my experience, I'm sure other people have had better experiences with them.

stonks any additon to fish other than salt and pepper ruins the flavour of it. these so called top restaurants charge an arm and a leg for something that sounds good and looks good on a plate but at the end of the day its a piece of fish. wish they would stop putting it on a " bed of whatever" and serving it with dauphine potatoes or whatever, and hiking the price. its a piece of fish at the end of the day and we should be charged just for that. sod the fancy barstewards charging us for the slate plates  and michelin stars.lol food is for eating not for finding it on the plate then eating one course in one mouthfull.

Hmmmm I don't really agree with that, harleyh. I've been to quite a few good fish restaurants (some Michelin starred) and have to say that the amount of effort put into the food is amazing. One place I've been to, Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, took my breath away. Expensive, but well worth it. The Loch Fyne chain is fantastic too, not so costly but still great fish (and food). I suppose it depends on what you want when you go out to dinner. Saying that though, I do love battered cod from the chippie

EDIT: Devonshire Gardens isn't a dedicated fish restaurant btw. But the dover sole there is lushness.
