Ted, as I've mentioned this problem in Feedback maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it here (hope Lori doesn't tell me off lol) Basically in any thread the Post Reply box bottom of page could throw up a blank reply box, as soon as I see that it has no bar with smileys etc I know my post won't go through. Ways around it have been to sign out and in again or use another Reply box at top of page either on the right or left. It can take several attempt either way. Had to go through all those things to reply here. I'm using IE 7 Windows XP.

I experience these problems on a very regular basis....and as rexi mentioned earlier the biggest worry is that if peeps decide to return for BB and they get them we'll lose them forever.

I use my work laptop sometimes - Windows XP Explorer6 or something equally archaic

My home laptop - Vista ...most recent FireFox

sometimes my netbook ... Windows 7 and using Firefox ...again always updated

The thing is it's the same prob on all 3machines ....in a way like the bad old days on C4

Hoochie - I did post my difficulties to Ted in the Feedback thread, as I said I would earlier in this thread.

I didn't hear from him, or Lori, (who was in the thread and asked whether I was posting in the right place) ... luckily Fluffs keeps an eye on the thread and said it is a Microsoft problem and not a LC one. So presumably there is nothing that can be done

There are two versions of Flash Player for Windows - there is one specifically for Internet Explorer and one for other browsers including Firefox. I think that if you install one version this replaces the other so as I generally use Firefox I have that version. As a result I can see the clock when I am in Firefox but not when I am in IE.
It's obviously not practical to reinstall Flash when I switch browsers so I have installed on the one I generally use.
This is a link to the Flash Player installation page You need to be in the browser you want to install Flash Player on as the installation will by default choose that browser, though you can select the other one by following the instructions.

Note that if you are using Internet Explorer under Windows 7, Flash Player will only work on the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer, not the 64 bit version - both IE versions  If this is the case refer to Adobe's advice which provides a link to the Microsoft support article. I don't use Windows 7 so do not have precise details as to how to switch between the two versions.

I hope this helps a bit.

Hi everyone,

We just deployed a new release that should solve the issue with the posting window not fully loading.  The issue seemed to be specific to Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7.  Please let us know if you continue to experience any difficulties with posting (or if the problem does appear to be completely solved!).

Thanks,

Brian
