Rexi and YellowRose- please tell me more about your issues with the reply box. What happens when you click on the Post Reply button (and what browser are you using)?
Ted - I'll post it in the feedabck thread so that we don't ruin this thread
Ted, as I've mentioned this problem in Feedback maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it here (hope Lori doesn't tell me off lol) Basically in any thread the Post Reply box bottom of page could throw up a blank reply box, as soon as I see that it has no bar with smileys etc I know my post won't go through. Ways around it have been to sign out and in again or use another Reply box at top of page either on the right or left. It can take several attempt either way. Had to go through all those things to reply here. I'm using IE 7 Windows XP.
I won't be telling anyone off for answering a question, YR.

I experience these problems on a very regular basis....and as rexi mentioned earlier the biggest worry is that if peeps decide to return for BB and they get them we'll lose them forever.I use my work laptop sometimes - Windows XP Explorer6 or something equally archaic
My home laptop - Vista ...most recent FireFox
sometimes my netbook ... Windows 7 and using Firefox ...again always updated
The thing is it's the same prob on all 3machines ....in a way like the bad old days on C4

Thanks Lori, I love and appreciate you all I just get so frustrated at times
hmm.. strange. Sounds like perhaps a bandwidth issue, like the page is not fully loading. We'll investigate. In the meantime, one thing to try the next time this happens is to click on the Toggle WYSIWYG link and try posting without the WYSIWYG editor.
Have you been having this problem for along time, of just in the last couple of weeks?
The WYSIWYG doesn't make a difference, nor does Refreshing, and for me this problem has occurred in the last few weeks, never had it before, maybe related to an update ?

I couldn't miss it...it frightened the life out of me when I logged in. Is there some way to turn it off?
Well I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out. Very nice touch though .............I'm almost excited!Reference:

Although I can't see it Brisket showed us a screenshot and it didn't look scary or intimidating to me
I can't see nothing, on IE too which I love using so never mind.
I'm having the same problem as YR regarding the reply box sometimes loading up in threads with no toolbar and it saying error on page. Having to refresh the page a couple of times for it to work.

I've seen a few who are on IE mention the Reply box problem but don't know if this covers everyone who might be having the same problem. I'm happy with IE 7 on other Forums where I don't have a problem or just being online in general. I've never tried Chrome but did experiment with FF and it was a disaster

Hoochie - I did post my difficulties to Ted in the Feedback thread, as I said I would earlier in this thread. I didn't hear from him, or Lori, (who was in the thread and asked whether I was posting in the right place) ... luckily Fluffs keeps an eye on the thread and said it is a Microsoft problem and not a LC one. So presumably there is nothing that can be done
There are two versions of Flash Player for Windows - there is one specifically for Internet Explorer and one for other browsers including Firefox. I think that if you install one version this replaces the other so as I generally use Firefox I have that version. As a result I can see the clock when I am in Firefox but not when I am in IE.
It's obviously not practical to reinstall Flash when I switch browsers so I have installed on the one I generally use.
This is a link to the Flash Player installation page You need to be in the browser you want to install Flash Player on as the installation will by default choose that browser, though you can select the other one by following the instructions.
Note that if you are using Internet Explorer under Windows 7, Flash Player will only work on the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer, not the 64 bit version - both IE versions If this is the case refer to Adobe's advice which provides a link to the Microsoft support article. I don't use Windows 7 so do not have precise details as to how to switch between the two versions.
I hope this helps a bit.

Hi all,
We've fixed the issue with the BB countdown widget not appearing in IE. It was actually a minor code bug, so it should appear in all browsers now
We'll continue looking into the reply posting issue. We hope to have it fixed soon.
Regards,
Brian

I'm sure that's a good thing. But I still can't figure out how to turn it off....
I'm sorry, Sarum. There IS no option to turn it off.
Hi everyone,
We just deployed a new release that should solve the issue with the posting window not fully loading. The issue seemed to be specific to Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7. Please let us know if you continue to experience any difficulties with posting (or if the problem does appear to be completely solved!).
Thanks,
Brian
