I don't read ones that are only one line usually.

I usually read them.

Occasionally it is clear that it is a topic which has no interest for me whatsoever, but I usually tackle it and then perhaps admit defeat as I plough through it.
But I usually give them all ago.
I sometimes imagine that Blizzie is reading them out loud to me. That helps a lot.

If I skim long posts I tend to pick out certain things and not the big picture so yes I am the idiot who'd read every single word (if I wanted).

I don't mind reading through long posts, as long as it is on a topic which interests me.
I particularly like to read through Karma's long rants, which are sheer genius, IMO.

I'm very guilty of writing long posts - I like to use nearly every word I know, preferably several times.

Most long winded replies make me lose the will to live....especially if they involve loads of copied and pasted stuff...I';; skim over to get the gist and then if I'm interested enough I'll read it properly...if not I just move on to the next one.

It depends who writes them...if it's some one on a rant I skim over and just look for the juicy bits.  If it's an intelligent post(er) who's put a lot of thought into what they have to say, I'll read it
