I must admit that I thought he said it in an insulting manner too, showing off to the others and forgetting that there are some things you don't say, not even in a heated argument about garlic! But why would Ofcom be interested in such a thing? The comment Sree made to Freddie tells us more about Sree's mindsett regarding Oxford University than it does about the dyslexia comment. It was a low blow, badly aimed.

He was trying to insult and belittle Freddie,Sree is a weak little fool who only picks on Freddie when he's got back up.

Exactly .... if he didn't mean it as an insult, he wouldn't have followed up with the stupid maths jibe ... Nod

He was trying to point out that Freddie was no better than himself, even if he had got into Oxford despite his dyslexia problems.

If anything I'd say he felt inferior to Freddie and was trying to prove that at least he was better at maths! Big Grin

What did he say?

And yet he used the same expression, "you are the dyslexia student", during a normal, civilised conversation with Freddie last night.

He was angry and ridiculous during the garlic argument, but the dyslexia comment was not meant as an insult.

Guess we see things differently,i got the impression Sree was ridiculing Freddie not trying to prove that he was better at maths than Freddie,it was the comment after he asked the maths question,it was 'Yeah, thought so' thus trying to show Freddie up and make him look stupid for not answering because he was dyslexic.

I wouldn't have gone as far as to ring Ofcom about it,i just thought that it showed Sree up for the small minded idiot he really is!

But if we all thought the same, the world would be a boring place! Big Grin

Hi pwillow. wavey

I agree that the maths question was Sree trying to prove that he was better in some ways than Freddie i.e. at maths, but I honestly think that was because Sree thinks getting into Oxford, despite having dyslexia, is actually pretty impressive!

The fact that he used the same expression in a completely different and friendly context, convinced me that 'the dyslexia student' was just a Sreeism and not meant to insult or belittle Freddie. Smiler
