Children's TV institution Sooty celebrates his 65th birthday today (July 19).
The popular yellow bear, who is currently looked after by Richard Cadell, holds the Guinness World Record for the longest running children's television show.

Corbett and his son Matthew performed with Sooty until 1998 when Cadell took over the reigns.
Sooty and his friends Soo and Sweep have had huge success on TV since the first Sooty Show in 1955 through until more recent series such as Sooty & Co and Sooty Heights on CITV.
