I don't think she got it from there...   that one is pink (not grey), and not woolly...

I reckon she did buy it...     its a good job I didn't open it there & then in front of her though...  cos just after giving me the little gift baggy she asked if I could possibly do the chickens Christmas Day & Boxing Day as they will be at their London residence over the festive period

ahhh...  see...   she asked what I was doing Christmas Day...    I said "going up to my parents for the day"

she asked if we were staying over..   "no" I said  "they only live a couple of miles up the road...  I won't be drinking, we will be back in the evening"

"oh, could you do the chickens then please?" she says....

TBH...  I don't mind that much...    I do love the chickens...    MrD is a bit rolly eyes about it though

I am not wearing it...     whilst I have more tact & kindness in my heart than my colleague (& bessie mate), who has no problems with letting it be known she is not impressed with a gift, I am not quite nice enough to wear it just to make her think I love it

then again...   it depends...     its our last day tomorrow (til the 3rd Jan)...  we are due to be paid...   and possibly get a bonus.   we did last year, was unexpected...  so there is no guarantees this year.

Kinda deserve it more this year though...    worked harder, above & beyond & all that...

If I come away skipping with a nice crimbo bonus cheque in my hand then I may wear the wooly the brooch to work on the 3rd Jan

She runs the business downstairs..   its a rose company (we are surrounded by fields of roses, that the bosses wife sells as cut flowers)....

I don't work for her company...  I work for her husbands company upstairs (art investment market data)..   I have no desire to work for the rose company...

I have never had the heart to tell her...   but I don't like roses...   one of my least fave flowers...

I really should have told her...
