Be honest please.
You know the LOL abbreviation which is frequently used on computers?
Do you? Have you?
Have you ever been sat at your computer, preferably all alone, and something has caused you to literally laugh out loud?
Many times people use lol to indicate their amusement and/or pleasure.
But have you really laughed out loud?

I'll never forget that night! I remember Mo, Madge, Watty etc were at Smilers for the weekend, I had buggered my knee and it was taking me an age to get up the stairs to the loo and the thread was going so fast and I was dying for a wee but didn't want to miss owt and I was sitting here literally dancing about and laughing at the same time

many years ago... before I came on this forum, but used to chat in chat rooms and on MSN.. my friend (after years of calling me a weirdo or shouting "its a screen" at me) also started chatting online....

...we then found ourselves saying "lol" when RL talking to each other (to our horror).

Daughter & I still occaisionally finish a sentence with "ninja" in RL conversations!
