I am not sure mozart I read in a thread today she has been in a coma for two years .

I'm not being cruel Marg - believe me I'm not (you know my own circumstances). Does he think he can buy her life back with the winnings??? Even if he doesnt win, he has spent, what, 10 weeks away from her - is that right??

i hate to sound cruel but if she's been in a coma for two weeks or two yeas ........Charlie going into the BB house really isn't gonna make that much difference is it? If he's been given an opportunity ...........whatever state his mums in - I'm sure she'd be more than happy to see him make the most of it. better than sitting at a bedside week in, week out ..........sorry if that sounds callous but ................i'd hate for my kids to miss out on an opportunity for me.

In all honesty .....when you're in the house with peeps 24/7 with very little to amuse you I guess just about everything gets bought up dont't you think?

True due to boredom just talk about anything Nod, it must be on his mind though and credit to him for keeping his spirits up being happy even though I think it's part of his gameplan.

Thumbs Up If only he would talk slower. Frowner We might catch the odd word or two. Big Grin

It's not nice having a mother that ill, but case in point for me, is why is he in the BB house, suppose her condition worsens?

exactly - if my mother was ill, in ANY life threatening sort of way, I'd be in HER house, looking after her - not trying to make a bit of cash/name for myself. There are some things that money CANNOT buy. I dont know or actually care about Charlies mother - not watching it now, but I'm sure that either she's not THAT ill - OR he expects to win because she IS ill Mad

Bit harsh IMO ........maybe there are others there to care for her .............maybe she's getting immense pleasure from seeing her son on the telly. No two stories are the same .........like you I dont know the story behind it all but .............when someone has a life threatening illness it doesn't take a whole army of family to be there ..............charlie on BB may be something that is somehow lightening the load and giving then something to focus on.

I take your point completely Soozy. I'm just talking from my own point of view. I can tell you honestly that NOTHING ever would take me away from someone I loved that was desperately ill - not a job, not a man or any money on this earth. You might be right, who knows, but to try to win the show through pity is a bit of a piss-take. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE has their own sob-story to tell - we dont all go rushing onto TV to tell it (thank god!)

is he trying to win through a sob story? we're eight weeks in and it's the first I've heard of it ................actually I've only heard it on hear. Again I say - that's a bit harsh .....it's not like he's going on and on about it ...........he's just a young lad really - isn't he?

My son was in a coma for six weeks when he was knocked down by a motor bike and no amount of money can help they either come out of the coma themselves or not as the case may be ,and I know your circumstances Barmy your a great mum to your lovely daughter Hug Valentine

Sorry, I know this sounds really callous, but an interview with his mom and dad has been mentioned on this thread?
I did see that Barmy, but someone said on a thread today his mum had been in a coma for two years .

There's only one stage worse than a long-term coma.

According to an interview at the start I read she told him to do BB as he really wanted to do it.

I read she's been in a coma for quite some time.

same here Soozy honestly - first I heard of it. I'm only going by the thread - someone else is quoting something from his mom and dad when he went into the house. His mom apparently has been in a coma for 2 years?? I dont know anything about any of it. I just KNOW that I would be with MY mom til the end - and THEN do my own thing

Yes and she's making some good points.

On another issue, I still think Sophie is going to win.
Nod

Especially on the big charities now.

I know a few people who have stopped giving to the big charities because they are fed up of cold calling asking them to give more. Its nice if you want to give to these chaities but to continually be emotionally blackmailed to do so is diffferent.

I would not be unhappy if she did win she is coming into her own Big Grin

Me either she's a lovely girl, and her friendship with Rodrigo is very genuine and endearing.
