It only came out a long time after the series finished. Aaron was extremely popular outside (over 70% support on DS out of 5 HMs in the final week!), but he was also very self-confident and pretty much expected to win as he knew he was the only one really playing the game in there. However he fell big time for Alex and shocked a lot of people when he appeared to choose her to save over girlfriend Faye. He admitted afterwards (on Couch Potatoes) that he actually considered walking so as to let Alex win instead as he felt she deserved it more. However it seems that when he came out one of the first things the producers told him was to stay clear of Alex (which is pretty ironic, seeing as they'ed previously tried to warn Faye off of him). It's still not exactly clear why they said that, but it probably had something to do with the *ahem* video clips that came out featuring her, which implied she wasn't quite the sweet, innocent little girl that she pretended to be. Certainly, the whole prize-fund sharing deal fell through because she didn't keep to her side of the bargain, so maybe they had a point. Tom still seems besotted by her though,..
Thanks for that â I thought I saw you referring to Alex as a âmassive playerâ a while ago and was intrigued by that opinion. I just assumed she was the classic girl-next-door/radar dodger â as I know that season was padded out with several stunning female housemates. Oh well, she played a good gameâĶ
