Once we're transported I'm sure the Forum will have the same posting facilities as here, we just have to be patient and wait and see.

I had that problem on IE. It might be to do with cookies or temporary files. I went into the preferences section to change email notifications and when I came out again the button had appeared. It's there all the time now. Still no jump to last post on a thread button though. Frowner

I don't know how many times we have asked for a last post on thread button, the silence in reply is deafening.

Gotta say it doesnt look all that easy to get into L/C

it was easy, i never joined i just signed in.

Hallelujah, Halle-bleeding-lujah. Clapping Thats what a lot of people have been trying to tell people for days. Laugh

Ha bloody ha! That didn't work for many of us as you well know! Jeez, we did enough explaining over the past few weeks about all that.

exactly, after days of trying to log in and getting error after error i decided to give it one last trry and when i opened the site it said i was already logged in, since i never got to complete a profile i'll look forward to not being abl;e to log back in again next time i need to..

and why oh why are people constantly harping on about "it'll be better once this place is moved over", i know all the threads form here will be transfered, the fact is that its an absolute farce and it doesnt make any difference if its a farce with or without the posts from here.

what bloody use is a "forum" that doesnt have a post new thread button to a big portion of its members?

honestly i'm getting sick of the same few members of the livecloud boosters club telling everyone how wonderful it is or it will be once the data from here is copied over, it will only be wonderful if the software is copied over too and they are not doing that are they?

Clapping

I don't know if this has been mentioned but as I just found it out for myself I'll share the knowledge Big Grin

On the group "forum" I was looking for the post new topic bit. Couldn't see it. When I looked across the top of the page where it says Summary, Blog, Clips, Forum etc I realised I was on the summary page. Once I clicked on Forum the post new topic appeared.

Hope that helps (if not then I don't have a clue) Big Grin

Perhaps I am misunderstanding what you are looking for, but if I go here:
http://support.livecloud.com/
and I see "Last: Re: Removing bands by vanaheim Yesterday at 11:51am", I get taken to the last post. Is that not what you are looking for?

Hi Lori

Re: Removing bands by vanaheim Yesterday at 11:51am", The last post in that thread is Chris at 19.51, on here when you click the last poster in a thread to go to the last post. Over there when you click the last poster to go to the posters homepage, not the last post.

Wouldn't it be best to go over there and give it a try? Everyones questions are getting answered. FMs are helping each other out. The mods are doing thier best to make it easier for us.

I'm not overly keen on the layout but I'm sure I'll get used to it. It's not that difficult to navigate really. It's just more than one click of the mouse. That's what I was used to now I have to do 2 or 3 clicks to find what I want. No big deal.

There's a lot of negativity and I'm sure it's the last thing the mods need. They helped us out with this place and now we're moving (which was always the case) they're helping again.

People are moaning for the sake of moaning now

OK, so it's a bit different. you don't click "vanaheim", you click "Removing bands", and it takes you to the last post.

I'm not a developer, but I'm guessing that this is slightly different because profiles/personal sites are a big deal over there, and not here.

It's trying to get to the last post by clicking on the last poster the same as here, otherwise you go to the 1st post.

Any kind of change is hard and I'll admit at first I wasn't keen but I want to keep in contact with people from here so I gave it a go. The more I use it the more I like it. Thumbs Up

It's my knee. The one I had done in January is coming along well although the surgeon (a.k.a. Doctor Gorgeous) says it will be at least another 6 months before it feels anything like normal. I can walk and climb stairs and bend my knee so I'm happy - it just feels very odd!

I'm due to have the other one done in the next few weeks which was why I wanted a forum back because I'll have another 8-10 weeks off work and my old Ch4 friends were far more fun than Jezza Kyle and his bunch of idiots.

Surely anything is better than Jezza - it's great to see you back!!

Gosh - that would be brilliant Lori Thumbs Up

Can I ask why it is not possible to reproduce this format for the forums on livecloud.
I'm not very techy minded so there may be a simple explanation but this format is so much better than what I've seen over there so far
Thanks

I'm not all that techy either, but it's different software, with some of the same features. This software is strictly forums. The other makes the forums a part of a social network.

The other software is new, and will be evolving. I can understand why you might not be comfortable over there, but I hope you'll give it a chance. Smiler
