My third boy & daughter both Love Bowie! - maybe you could share!

So much to share. Can't go wrong with Ziggy Stardust album though to me his defining moment was Scary Monsters. Bowie is like The Beatles 'nothing' you hear is crap. Just imo, of course.

I reckon ma boy would say Bowie beats the Beatles hands down!  He has individuality!
Am no expert myself of course! But I love my son & have to back him 

The Beatles were the most individual band of all time. Bowie was probably the most individual artist. They were Gods, so was he. I love seeing him on chat shows now and he's just a bloke, just like McCartney. I love that. They're not just blokes of course but I love how they absolutely believe they are. I'm rambling, sorry.

The only slightly interesting thing about him is the story that one of Mick Jagger's wives caught them both in bed together >ahem> sharing a mars bar  

Bowie's a musical genius.   Not a big fan of Scary Monsters, though.  It has its moments but I think he was starting to lose it at that point.  Scary Monsters is far better than "Let's Dance" and his 80s nonsense that followed - IMO of course. 

That's okay - it is gone 2am - perfect time fer rambling if you ask me!

Not sure that's right Hobbes!  The Mars bar thing was supposedly during a drug raid and  involved Marianne Faithful and Mick Jagger if I recall, but is disputed as an urban legend.  I think Jagger and Faithful both deny it ever happened.

Oooh Marrianne Faithful!  Now there's a woman with a tone in her voice ! ( mostly drug/whisky inflicted admittedly) My Bro shared a bottle a whiskey backstage with her - def a woman with a tale to tell he said!

Watched Girl on a Motorcycle twice to see her going through a windscreen> twice

I thought Marianne Faithful was more affected by Marsbars.

I heard Bowie was caught with a Finger of Fudge. 

hunky dory was magnificent.. and yes, rock n roll suicide is brilliant.. as is 5 years and drive in saturday

Love David Bowie - hard to choose a favourite song but Thursday's Child ranks in my top list - perhaps not known to many..
