I'm not sure, Sprout.  We only have the live coverage and the input of the reporters covering it.  It sounded at the time as if he knew precisely what he was doing.

Maybe I do the man a disservice (especially as I have no other reference than the media), but at times like this I find it hard to muster any care for the likes of him.

I know what you mean Cosmo. I cant find any valid excuse for it either. It's just some peeps are going to 'snap' and it's horrible for others to get caught up in it

It wraps it all up tidily and stops anyone else from having to answer as to why an evil b@stard was allowed to roam freely for so long.

In their report, the experts describe a man "who finds himself in his own delusional universe, where all his thoughts and acts are governed by these delusions," Mr Holden said. "They conclude that Anders Behring Breivik during a long period of time has developed the mental disorder of paranoid schizophrenia, which has changed him and made him into the person he is today."

A long period of time suggests this wasn't one of those unforeseeable 'snaps' - how did he dodge the radar for so long? I find that really distressing to know and wish it was a 'snap'

Another slant on it. I guess there's just no valid reason as to why.....
