It seems to me that this sort of thing makes JJ feel better about himself.  He is the classic bully.  Pick on the most vulnerable and the easiest target.  Let's hope the sneer is soon wiped off his face when his name is called out.

But when you are living in a house where your actions can stop everyone else from getting food or clothing them team work is highly underrated in Ben's eyes. He was told the whole house would be punished if he did not do his TOT rath task and he still refused. Everyone else was practising for the group task and he first of all wanted to go for a little rest, and then sat inside eating a carrot. He shows a complete lack of social awareness. He has already admitted that his friends all have something that they can do for him. He falls out with people because of the comments he makes but then expects that all will be forgiven in the next instance and refuses to understand if it isn't. I really liked Ben at the beginning but the more I see of him the more I dislike.

Yes he has said there are things his friends can do for him but also things he can do for them....Isn't that what friendship is give and take?

He only added that part in yesterday when confronted over his previous comments. And yes friendship is give and take, but I have never once chosen a friend because of what they could do for me.

Who in their right mind would choose friends simply for what they can do for you....I have friends who go back almost 40 years ,granted given various circumstances we're not in regular contact but each of us know if and when we need each other all we got to do is pick up the phone.

I have to say I really enjoyed the bantering last night

I wouldn't want Jj or Ben to go..  I like the interactions both have together and with others in the house.. good or bad ones..  it's not exclusive of the rest of the HM's. .we get to see more of the others. .way better than the Shabby show in my eyes..

it was so refreshing to see laughter in the house too and ALL the HM's in the one room.. and was so nice to laugh along with them. .both Ben and JJ were laughing  and nobody looked annoyed. .JJ does get a Govan overexcited manic  and wide eyed look about him when he's on one tho as well as his voice getting higher and higher, but then you have Ben's deadpan expression and retorts to counteract that which I think is great fun.. if one of them went all of that would be lost..

 I did turn off around 1.30 so didn't see how long it went on for.. but still a laugh is better than a marathon bitch session in my books

I agree more or less  with Xochi's post over the page too.. 

Hope Caoimhe goes. .I really do think she is a waste of a HM

I forgot the childs ride task last night made me laugh too. .

Huge Dave on the little plane and when it toppled over..  then afterwards Ben gets dressed up as the pilot and sits on it  looking like and extra in black adder IV  I.was PMSL 

all in all I was doing a lot more of this rather  than this in my BB viewing last night.. 

It went on for about another hour or so Olly. It stopped being a  "laugh" when JJ started losing on the "banter" front and resorted to personal insults. Corin piped up, Ife put her tuppence worth in. Later.. Keeva, Ben and Dave tried to advise him about taking things too far and how to conduct yourself in an argument/debate. Say, if Ben says something, why dismiss it with that`s bullsh*t without hearing him out or trying to understand where he`s coming from? He didn`t seem to grasp what they were saying. Well, maybe he did but he wouldn`t admit it last night.
Seems like he has today because he and Ben are resolving things and JJ is actually listening.

But will he listen Scotty?....TBH as far as Barbie Boy goes as sure as eggs are eggs there'll always be a next time....How Ben treats females seems to be such an alien concept to him he is so dismissive and writes it off completely...If how he spoke to some of the females in the house is indicative of how he treats them in RL give me Ben any day.

Ben also has to listen and get on with the tasks..

Ben is correct, JJ lacks social intelligence.

Barbie Boy also admitted he didn't fully participate in Sundays task....Yes Ben does need to get the finger out regarding tasks that goes without saying but imo it doesn't give them the right to tear to shreds,often at every opportunity, every aspect of him including his RL and personal appearance.

Ben also tears peoples personalities apart too

he just does it in a few sentences so it passes unnoticed a lot of the time. . and sometimes gets sound dipped out and he has been warned a lot of times for using potentially offensive language/terms.. 

but he also does those same short sentences on his rounds as well. .repeating over and over the same things..

His conversation goes in loops too..  I noticed some of the earlier stuff is appearing again now..

See neither of them are perfect. .they just  have different ways of going about things..

Strange how JJ criticised Ben for not being enough of a team person, and then proceeds to boldly state that he didn't try seriously in the basketball task.
So, in JJs eyes, why is there one standard for Ben and a different one for himself?

JJ's standards that he expects from others in the BB house have never applied to him. He's the furthest thing from a team player I could imagine. I wouldn't want him on my team.

He does not refuse to do the tasks if he does not feel like it, unlike Ben that is the difference .. a big difference I would say no comparison..

there is some irony in that but maybe he wasn't too bothered about the reward for the task.. non of them seemed to be as they knew it wasn't for them all just some of them and they wanted a party for all..  

Ben's blanket statement [now explained to Jj as not meaning blanket no team work ] would have affected the whole house not just one or two people

they have talked about hoe they view these things differently and how far they'd go to work as a team depending upon what the consequences are. .Jj would just go a bit further than Ben if it meant the rest would suffer badly and Ben said he wouldn't if there was somebody else to do it instead of him if it didn't suit him to do the task in front of him..

Not quite the same thing as not bothering too much in a basketball game..

 don't get me wrong,  am not a supporter of either of them [or any of the HM's, I am a supporter of the show ]  but I find the comparison you chose a tad flawed

True Marge, but another side of being in a team is to pick up straggling team mates and motivate them back in to shape. Not berate, belittle and bully them in to submission.
