Wow, Cinds, really? That takes...discipline, doesn't it?

lal: I remember when I was a kid, I told my mom I was going to give up liver and onions for Lent, and I got a huge lecture on being sacrilegious.

I often give up chocolate, or sweets. Have given up coffee before (

I have a quandary, though: For the second year in a row, I have a holiday planned  that falls during Lent (that's what I get for vacationing with teachers), and I don't want to be missing out on chocolate, desserts, coffee or alcohol while I'm on holiday.

I think I've settled on ice cream....but that seems a bit of a copout to me...

Nothing left to give up, is there?

I make low carb versions of things Lori but its not the same.

I know. Been there, done that, gained the weight back.

Have you heard of/tried the Dukan diet? We're doing pretty well on that one, and can still have occasional treats.
