LED Lightbulbs

Bit of a strange question this, but I am thinking of switching all of my bulbs (as they fail) over to LED lightbulbs.

Mainly because from what I am reading they last even longer than current eco bulbs, are more efficient and switch on instantly to name a few properties.

What I was wondering if you have any, what is the light like?

Are they powerful enough to do what you want them to do?

You can choose the type of light, what light did you go for?

I do know they cost A LOT more though.

Me too at the moment Baz.

I think LED lights may still be a bit new for a lot of people, but you never know.

Erm.. I don't think we have any yet, ours too are energy savers. I would get them though

I quite fancy the LED tea light "candles" for my Halloween pumpkin this year- its got to be safer than a flame

I have LED lights in my kitchen. They're fab and according to the bumph that came with them they will probably last longer than me.

That is exactly what I have read Cinds.

What kind of light did you go for, was it quite a hard white being a kitchen?

So hold on, what you're saying is that the monstrosity of a light fitting that my husband installed in our kitchen that has LED lights can potentially last forever (that's my lovely mother-in-law in there working her magic...she hates the lights too!)

Not if something terrible happened to it Suzy, like, say those twin scamps you have having a little bit of rough and tumble and something gets thrown high and accidentally breaks the light fitting, you know by accident and everything

Oh right!

I tend to use the counter lights more often than the ceiling lights.
