I can see why you say that, col, but i really don't think she wants to be 'normal' at all.  She wants to be famous as a glamorous diva, adored and worshipped by all.   That's not normal to me.

the thought of  either of them makes me want to vomit..

I mean if you are going to fantasise you've shagged a sleb at least pick one that is halfway decent..

Lauren and her family are completely off their trolleys. I remember her parents showing their child 'prodigy' off yrs back and thinking are they serious that kid is just a parrot for them and not a good one as 'he' keeps forgetting his lines, definitely not a prodigy and I also thought what a weird looking family they are to boot, like something out of some science fiction book. .

Wonder why the parents weren't sorted by social services for the way they brought their kids up, they seemed to have produced at least one weirdo child..

This isn't directed at any one person but tbh I don't understand why Lauren's family are being discussed - and not others as far as I've seen. I've not read any links I've seen posted about her or the family's past as I don't see what that has to do with Lauren being in the house. I remember her on tv as a child, apart from learning some years ago she's transgender I've not followed/seen anything about her over the years, to me she's just another hm in the house having her experience like the rest of them, just adding a personal opinion.

I think it's more to do with how she's behaved on all the BB side shows she's been on over the years, she's been nothing like she is in the house, she's been extremely nasty and some of the comments she made about Aaron the year he won were disgusting, her family get bought in to it imo is because they seem to be of the package

I'm sick of the 'pity the TG card'    Being 'different' doesn't give anybody the right to be a nasty piece of work.

I agree, she's a fake and a liar, didn't like her before the show and nothings changed. I wouldn't be surprised if she won though which would make her fantasy of being a star seem even more real

The only BB series I didn't watch was the one with Aaron whose name I've seen mentioned several times. I've no idea what he was like and no idea what she said about him. I've a very vague feeling I've seen her on BOTS but it feels like a long time ago and don't have any memories of what I thought of her back then. I've seen some pretty harsh comments about her on forums and on youtube, are they worse than what she said about Aaron or any other BB hm's she's commented on in the past, I've no idea. I get that she could push buttons for whatever reason people have, there have been hm's in the past that have pushed mine that others liked, it's human nature to have a difference of opinions, I was sharing my pov just as others have done.

For me, the problem with Lauren on BOTS was not so much what she said about Aaron (or any other HM) but the way she went about saying it (and kept on and on saying it).

When she first appeared on BOTS during BB12, I remember commenting at the time that she made some valid comments - with regards to both Faaron and JayLou - about love and relationships on a reality TV show. However after a few appearances, it became clear that she was taking the whole thing way too personally. You didn't need to be a therapist to realise that she'd had a lot of issues in her past life and was projecting them (if that's the correct term) onto the HMs - particularly the Faaron relationship.

Now Lauren wasn't the only TV "personality" to make dreadful (and borderline libelous) accusations about Aaron (I remember staring open-mouthed as Brian Belo tried to get Faye to admit that Aaron had brainwashed her), but most of the others were pretty obviously just playing the BB game (and Pete Burns for one later admitted that he'd been told to make anti-Aaron comments by BB). With Lauren, however, there was always the strong feeling that she really believed every word: it seemed that all the problems she'd had in the past with male relationships were being focussed onto Aaron.

That for me was the main reason I was concerned on learning that Lauren might appear on CBB: it wasn't about her being bitchy or anything like that, but simply that she hadn't previously come across as being stable enough emotionally to be involved in a show like BB - never mind all the attention she'll get afterwards...

...and yet, there she is carrying on while all around her inmates are losing the plot.

Well, I was careful to use the past tense there.
I remain concerned about how she'll manage on leaving the house as she still seeems rather fragile, but she also seems to be a bit more calm and controlled compared with a couple of years ago, and hopefully she's better able to cope now.

I totally accept she's not everyone's cup of tea. Apart from everything that's been mentioned just want to say this. They all accepted their various fees that encouraged them to take part in CBB. With only 2 weeks away from home the majority have been complaining and saying they're bored or want to leave. Lauren seems to be the only one who's embraced what the experience is about with all it's ups and downs and hasn't constantly moaned that she wants to leave. Some seemed to expect an easier ride, it's not been that and they've been challenged beyond what they expected and they've struggled. The only reason some haven't walked is cos if they did their fee would be cut.

it strikes me that she is heavily medicated a lot of the time.. hence her appearing more stable in the head now  ..  not so much on her feet tho

She's not going to cope well when she finds out her BFF Courtney will probably run off back to LA and never be seen or heard of again..

Imo the reason she hasn't said she wants to leave is because she has been trying even campaigning at one point to get in there for years as she sees this as some sort of big break through for her not doubt egged on by her parents, now she has been saved I worry how she will react if she doesn't win and Courtney doesn't invite her to LA
