I think (whilst I think Laura's case is a bit different) in general it's because they know they still get all the interviews and publicity etc whether they stay or go, they just bin it if they can't be bothered now.
It's turned into the jj 'n j show anyway, inconsiderate pair of tossers. Put the big guy in to hopefully sort them all out. Why are they all so scared of those two?

Why bother putting herself up as a potential HM in the first place? I think if this BF stuff is true, she went in there hoping to get loads of male attention, make him jealous, make him stop shagging other women and make him realise Laura is the one he wants to marry and have 2.4 brats with and a white picket fence (and copious amounts of St.Tropez).

They either don't think it through, or they are not honest when they do.
