How is the 10 million Twitter followers and millions of people on FB, YT etc explained then? Nowadays social networking is important in connecting with fans. Even some who don't like Gaga admit she is talented.
Most music now is influenced by other artists and even Madonna must have been influenced by someone in her time.

I know it doesn't but the reality is now social networking is playing a big part in the musical industry and it's how acts in the charts such as Jessie J now came to attention recently..
Thankfully there will never be a majority opinion on which musical artists are original are not as there would be chaos
