those 2 have been mothered so much it makes them useless. I was taught to get on with it.
I was never taught to do much at home because I grew up in a pub and we had staff who did everything like cooking, cleaning & laundry. It didn't do me any favours when my parents split and I had to start fending for myself at 15. That was a seriously rude awakening. I had to learn pretty fast and I'm determined that my child will at least understand how to live independently from a young age.
my old ma had me at 40 and was convinced she wouldn't bearound for long so taught me everything on the proviso she wouldn't be there when I was 20. Which means I'm a dab hand at looking after myself but permanently anxious people are gonna die at any given minute!!

Don't know cos I didn't watch but surely ..........you're kids are as you make em. if you bring them up right - then you'll enjoy their company. if you spoil them or alternativetively give them no time you end up with a nightmare .......you reap what you sow IMO.

Soozy, I can tell just by the way you contribute here that your children could NOT be like these two. A pair of lazy, stuck up good for nothing prats. Certainly not a credit to either of their parents, who have mollycoddled their darlings to the point of being their slaves.

I thought she was lazy and extremely selfish. At least the young man tried which is more than she was prepared to do.
Our neighbour's son will be 50 this year and he still lives at home with Mummy who does everything for him. No wonder he doesn't want to move out.
The other son moved out years ago and lives with his partner and daughter in a lovely little house they are struggling to maintain the mortgage on.
The mother is quite happy to keep her other son at home as she feels lonely since she lost her husband several years ago BUT he does nothing to assist around the house and treats it like an hotel.
I was quite happy to 'fly the nest' and stand on my own two feet. It taught me the practicalities of life.
