Gary Barlow has become the target of vile Twitter messages from former Big Brother contestant, Kenneth Tong, after his daughter was delivered stillborn last weekend.
Tong, who appeared on the reality show back in 2009, has posted a series of sickening tweets to the Take That singer about his late daughter Poppy.
The Huffington Post UK has decided not to republish Tong's disgusting comments, where he has used Take That lyrics to make light of the tragedy.
'Kenneth Tong' soon began trending globally on the social networking site after users hit back at his comments, calling for him to be banned.
One user, Paul McCallum, wrote: "Kenneth Tong is a foul, heartless, imbecile. The actions of a very troubled waste of space. Disgusted."
Another, Bex Smith, said: "Everyone, report Kenneth Tong NOW! Dead baby jokes are not funny + he needs to be stopped. Evil, evil man."
In a statement issued on Monday, Gary had asked for his and wife Dawn's "privacy to be respected at this painful time".
It isn't the first time Tong has been at the centre of Twitter controversy.
Last year, tweets from Tong promoted 'managed anorexia', but he later claimed it was an experiment to see how quickly he could trend on the social networking site.
He was forced into hiding in the South of France after receiving death threats about his comments.
He later told The Sun: âEven my own friends have turned against me - but it was an exercise that I wanted to keep up for a week.
âI love to be challenged. It was so illogical a concept. It did not make sense but so many people bought into it. I proved how easy it is to become a global phenomena in the age of instant media.â
Good god. What an absolute disgrace he is. The problem with the likes of him is he wants attention and will gain it from this because people will not be able to hold their tongues and I don't blame them really.
Nasty nasty vile little man.
He is one seriously sick individual. Vile excuse for a human being.
What the hell is he doing!!?? Disgraceful
What the hell is he doing!!?? Disgraceful
Why can't Twitter just close his account?
Couldn't agree more Yogi
Could they not be held accountable by letting this continue?

I wonder if that's what he's going to claim when he shits his pants this time Horrible little toad, what a disgusting creep
I feel like shoving his head in the steam press.
What a piece of shit he is.
He is the most vilest of individuals. I think he has a very over valued sense of entitlement, and so he thinks he can have whatever he wants materialistic wise, and say whatever he wants about anyone and anybody. He disgusts me.

Kenneth Tong, is an internally and outwardly ugly individual, who thinks money, can buy him looks, pussy, class and a personality....So far he has only achieved one of those things..

Twitter seems to be a magnet for these sick attention seekers.Seems it's not "policed" much.
it's people such as him that put freedom of expression in danger.
amongst all the other shite he is guilty of.
Sky news has just mentioned Internet troll targets Gary Barlow and the death of their still born child .
Unfortunately this is exactly what Tong wants ...attention .
- Big Brother contestant has caused mass anger with his vile comments about grieving Gary Barlow's stillborn daughter.
Kenneth Tong made a series of offensive statements on his Twitter account about the musician's late daughter Poppy, who was delivered stillborn last week.
The 28-year-old self styled playboy was condemned by fellow users for using Take That song lyrics to attack Barlow and his wife at this difficult time.
Horrendous actions: Kenneth Tong, pictured in 2011, has made a series of disgusting comments on Twitter about Gary Barlow's stillborn child
Tong, who appeared on series 10 of Big Brother in 2009, targeted both Gary and his wife Dawn with his sick messages throughout the week.
Amongst making what he deemed to be jokes about the situation, Tong also posted a picture of a child's coffin accompanied by more sickening comments.
Due to the online outcry, Kenneth Tong began to trend globally and his followers increased to almost 180,000.
Many fellow Twitter users were quick to defend Gary and began a campaign to get Tong's profile shut down on the social network site.
In mourning: Gary Barlow and his wife Dawn have been targeted by the sick Tong
Big Brother's Bit On The Side presenter Jamie East said: 'Nothing would make me happier today than seeing Kenneth Tong going to prison. What an absolutely hateful, hateful human being.'
While Professor Green wrote: '@MrKennethTong never in my life seen such a disgusting case of attention seekingâĶ please never have children.'
Other users have appealed to stars, such as Piers Morgan, to use their celebrity influence to spread the word and get Tong's account closed.
In protest: Some Twitter users condemned Tong's actions and campaigned to get his account shut down
The one account Tong was following on Twitter was that of British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, but she blocked him earlier today after seeing his messages.
The millionaire from Hong Kong has caused controversy before back in 2011 when he faced death threats as a result of launching a pro-anorexia campaign.
At the time, he advertised a slimming pill on Twitter using disruptive statements to persuade girls to endorse a 'controlled anorexia' scheme to become a size zero.
Celebrities including Rihanna, Katy Perry and Simon Cowell all blasted him for his foul comments, which he later claimed were a joke.
In the past: Kenneth Tong befriended the same Twitter user that attacked Tom Daley about his dead father
He later told The Sun: 'Even my own friends have turned against me - but it was an exercise that I wanted to keep up for a week.
'I love to be challenged. It was so illogical a concept. It did not make sense but so many people bought into it. I proved how easy it is to become a global phenomena in the age of instant media.'
He also befriended and stuck up for user Rileyy_69, who was arrested after abusing Olympic diver Tom Daley about his dead father via Twitter
Can he not be prosecuted for malicious comments likely to cause offence?
Ex-Big Brother wannabe Kenneth Tong wrote vile Twitter messages about the stillbirth of the Take That starâs daughter
The ex-Big Brother wannabe wrote vile Twitter messages about the stillbirth of the Take That starâs daughter.
But after horrified fans blasted his disgusting comments, he told the Mirror: âI donât care what people think.
âIf people want to talk about me, Iâm going to use it to my advantage.â
And he declared: âIâm highly educated, I know whatâs right and whatâs wrong, but the guyâs not going to read it. Why canât I say what I want?â
X Factor judge Gary, 41, was left devastated on Saturday when wife Dawn, 42, lost their fourth child, Poppy, just two weeks before her due date.
And yesterday Twitter users were outraged when Tong used references to Take That lyrics to make a series of disturbing taunts about the tragedy.
But Tong, 27, reacted by offering to write more âGary Barlow dead baby jokesâ.
The Mirror has decided not to reprint his string of offensive remarks.
One Twitter user responded to his vile tweet: âHow anyone can make jokes about such a horrifying tragedy is unimaginable.
"Utterly disgusting. This man needs to be stopped.â
Another said: âTong is a foul, heartless, imbecile. The actions of a very troubled waste of space.â
Yet Tong refused to apologise and instead used his notoriety to beg for a date with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
and asked whether he thought his behaviour would gain him attention from Rosie, 25, he said: âI just want her to know my name.
"Because of this situation now people are going to talk about me.
âIf she can just know who I am, Iâm going to be happy.â
Fame-hungry Tong, who has 180,000 followers on Twitter, appeared on Big Brother in 2009 and was ridiculed by the C4 reality showâs viewers for his outlandish claims about knowing âsome of the most dangerous men in the worldâ.
He claims to live a millionaire lifestyle between a country estate in the UK and a luxury flat in the US.
Photos on his Twitter page have shown him posing with boxing superstars Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao, plus TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
In others, he is driving an Aston Martin and flashing his costly Christian Louboutin shoe collection.
And this is not the first time Tong has been at the centre of Twitter controversy.
Last year he sparked outrage when he wrote extensively about âmanaged anorexiaâ, encouraging women to âget thin or die tryingâ.
After prompting disgust from celebrities including Rihanna and Simon Cowell, Tong later claimed his remarks were an âexperimentâ.
But he was forced into hiding in France after death threats.
He later said: âEven my own friends have turned against me â but it was an exercise I wanted to keep up for a week.
âI love to be challenged. It was so illogical a concept. It did not make sense but so many people bought into it.
"I proved how easy it is to become a global phenomena in the age of instant media.â
On another occasion, he wrote: âWhen youâre as wealthy as I am, you can say, do, and think what you like without penalty.â
He is the latest online bully to cause a storm, with his remarks coming a week after Olympic diver Tom Daley, 18, suffered similar abuse about his dead father.
Last night a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said the force had not so far received any complaints over Tongâs tweets.
I don't know what he said and don't want to, it's obviously very offensive and extremely hurtful about a situation that's so very painful for parents to deal with. One of my family members had the same awful experience as Gary and his wife and so do many others. I've had 2 miscarriages and that was extremely hard to deal with that took me a long time to come to terms with, to go to full term and deliver a child that hasn't survived is too painful to think about.
I dont think the police should be involved because he hasn't made any threats or caused any public disorder, (apart from in our minds about him)
BUT, surely Twitter can deactivate his account.?
The simple answer is to not have a Twitter account. I find it very easy not to have a Twitter account. You just don't go on Twitter and don't set up an account.
All this notoriety is music to Twitter's cash tills as thousands take the troll bait and sign up to tell Tong he's p***k. But he knows he's being a p***k and he's being one intentionally to court controversy.
Let's face it, the man's an attention-seeking arsehole, but in the scheme of things, that's all he is. He isn't selling heroine to children and he isn't telling terminally ill people they're fit for work or they'll lose their benefits.
On the arsehole-o-meter, he rates a 2 at most.
He certainly shouldn't be prosecuted for it, as it would cast an attention seeking d***head as a champion of free speech.
This cretin thrives on the oxygen of publicity no matter what, and he's getting it sadly.
Disgusting "man"
