I turned it on for the first time in months.... and that was the first thing I saw.
made me do a sick burp
I haven't watched Corrie in months but read that he is having an affair
Poor bugger this must be where he goes out of it for a while following the death of his real life wife.
Must have been so hard for him to film going for a leg over with Martha just after his wife dropped dead.

Can't remember the name of the actress now that he's having the affair - on screen- with but she was on a chat show and said he'd been incredibly strong in coping with the loss of his wife. They'd been married a long time so it must be an awful time for him.

That's what me and my husband were thinking when we watched it. It must have been filmed around the time his wife died.
I found watching last night made me , but I too thought of his real wife - must have been hard

Corro wouldn't be corro without Ken Barlow having an affair! It's never made pleasant viewing.
I do agree with all the posters who have mentioned his real life wife - to have someone die suddenly and without warning is traumatic enough, but most that experience it do not have to then act out love scenes with another woman.
I think it goes to show the strong support cast members give each other, I doubt he'd have been able to do it without much love and support.

Elsie Tanner (nÃĐe Grimshaw, previously Tanner, formerly Howard )...She certainly was a memorable character.
To me, that's when it was at it's best. The days of Elsi, Len Fairclough, Bet Lynch and Annie Walker
and some great story lines with Mike Baldwin
Yes !
My favourite was Hilda Ogden. Remember when Stan was cleaning the chimney, got soot all over the house and Hilda, looking at her 'muriel' said: "Stan, you've turned me snow-capped mountains into flamin slag heaps!" Classic!
kens just an educated lurve machine
when he came out of the bedroom-he said summat like 'am i on the canal-or a cloud' then sat down with his jumper draped jauntily over his shoulders
wotta man-he's my inspiration
and he's now had both the 'costa cons' from bad girls
he's a man-tart

Oh I dunno about that Joe, although I don't watch it I have tuned into it from time to time. Not keen on the characters they have now, it is still better than the rest of the soaps though imo
I've watched Coronation Street regularly since the very first episode. It's just the best soap ever.
