There's always an exception to the rule Ditty....but when mr stonks and I were divorcing there was always still something there, he gave me my boys, without him they would never have existed....

on a more serious note - I do agree with what you are saying.. in most cases.  Especially if the father has played an active role in bringing them up.. and has bonded and stuff.

Where as my puppy ' Monet' has just done 2 poo's off his mat. He get's treats for piddle's and poo's, but he just can't figure out the poo bit.

PMSL reminds me of my nephews new pup its a shzitsu(spell)..she pees everywhere but on the paper, we mind both his dogs and they have me tearing my hair out....

He reminds me of a lot of men..wind the woman up while talking calmly but the woman looks like the nasty one cos he winds her up that much she shouts....

Is harder in the winter, in the summer you can leave the door open and they tend to bypass the whole paper training bit.

Not just lonely Ditty..I remember twigging on to Mr stonks, everyone thought I was a bastad the way I used to shout until I pointed out he'd speak quietly in an arguement but I'd get so het up I'd shout..so it made me look the the bastuard..Men are feckers for that....

I don't follow their break up.. well as much as is possible to avoid it.

I do think the thing someone posted further up about her being peeved cos he dumped her has a ring of truth to it.  

And.... as background one night.. I did catch some fly on the wall thing about him and he came across as a good bloke.  He took on Harvey and treated him as his own... and on this documentary thing said something about thanking Harvey for teaching him how to be a dad.

I respect that.

the looney woman & barsteward bloke thing was really more of a comment on my odd periods of mental birdness!

As he's so tiny he won't get his his puppy shot booster until 28/01/10 then he won't be allowed in the garden for another week after that. So far I've bought 3 collars, leads, a miniature harness and they are all miles too big.

that calm quiet patronising thing drives me insane.... I scream like a banshee with rage when that tactic has been used on me.

I remember that wait.   I remember being quite startled at how like having a baby it was.... and the cabin fever!!!!

First walk is fab though....  centre of attention cos is a cute puppy!   ANd they get so excited at all the new stuff...  

AJ has a harness cos he has such a thick neck that he just slips even the snuggest collar... our childhood cairn used to do it... one minute you were walking a real dog... the next you looked like a nutter with a pretend dog (holding a lead & empty collar).

Me too Ditty and your own family can turn against you on that one..I learnt to turn it around on the feckers....
