According to my son ........if you're right of centre vote no. If you're left of centre vote yes .............apparently there are far more left of centre parties and the vote gets fragmented - AV will make the left of centre vote more collective - if that makes any sense.

Got it in one Syd!

FM

I'm voting No, simply because there must have been some serious negotiation when the coalition was hammered out. Clegg would have said No, we can't put up university fees, Cameron would have said No we must, but tell you what, we'll let you have a referendum on AV. And Clegg would have said, oh ok, stuff the students.

Well that's how I see it anyway

So, Clegg sells the students down the river and this is my only way of getting back at him.

However, my student son, who is studying Politics, is voting Yes

In all honesty - as a party they're toast anyway aren't they? Clegg has got his moment of glory at the expense of the credibility of his party. Well that's how I see it .................who in their right mind would vote for a party who tore up their manifesto for a couple of years of glory

That's true Soozy, my point being Cameron was way down the list in the first round and ended up winning...I see nowt fair about it. There are only three countries in the world that uses this system and one wants to ditch it.

You're not the only one Justa. Again I don't believe we've been given enough info to make our own minds up

I was concerned about this but ..............................apparently not. I need to look into this a bit more TBH.

I'm not sure about that ..............i think Ed Milliband got through on a similar system - I'm quite happy with that TBH.

I know it's not a AV Joe, but they have three rounds and he was well down in the first round...I can't remember exactly how far down... he certainly wasn't the tories first choice, and that's how I look at the AV system.
