How is everyone gonna vote re AV? Do you feel that you've had a good unbiased brief on it? I'm still very undecided - I'd be interested in others views.

I think I am going to vote for.... cos a) I am not worried if we get a coalition, and b) I fancy a change
no
its a 'twist' as my old ma would say
against, 92 million referendum on a crap voting system
AV...'nt a clue.......
i havent a clue what way to vote.
I KNOW!!!!!!!!!! It's only just over a week away - this is important. I'm watching Newsnight now ..............still not much wiser though.
Been on the phone to my son who's pretty knowledgeable - he told me to vote yes - I'm chewing ot over TBH.
On the odd info I've seen, I'm gonna vote no allthough I think the system we have at the minute is the best of both worlds

According to my son ........if you're right of centre vote no. If you're left of centre vote yes .............apparently there are far more left of centre parties and the vote gets fragmented - AV will make the left of centre vote more collective - if that makes any sense.

Got it in one Syd!
I know it's really ignorant and lazy but I'm looking at who's for and who's against. (I'm guessing those in the know have looked at all the possibilities) - David Cameron aint keen - therefore - I'm all for it ( (I think).
Youngest son explained the reasons for voting "for", and I thought I'd vote that way.
Then he explained the reasons for voting "against" and I thought I'd vote that way.
I'm still none the wiser.

It's really a big deal and I'm panicking now........................I know bugger all.
I'm voting No, simply because there must have been some serious negotiation when the coalition was hammered out. Clegg would have said No, we can't put up university fees, Cameron would have said No we must, but tell you what, we'll let you have a referendum on AV. And Clegg would have said, oh ok, stuff the students.
Well that's how I see it anyway
So, Clegg sells the students down the river and this is my only way of getting back at him.
However, my student son, who is studying Politics, is voting Yes
In all honesty - as a party they're toast anyway aren't they? Clegg has got his moment of glory at the expense of the credibility of his party. Well that's how I see it .................who in their right mind would vote for a party who tore up their manifesto for a couple of years of glory

Soozy the same sort of voting system made Camoron leader of the tories, it's the first time I'll vote with him and the very last
I'm still undecided, but will probably vote 'yes' although AV is a pretty rubbish system. So it's the difference between two fairly flawed systems. There is the Clegg factor and I'd hate to think a yes vote would extend the shelf life of this awful coalition..
Right now lets get down to the nitty gritty........
Who is going to STOP people thinking that the Dole is a weekly or fortnightly wage for being?
Who is going to redirect money into the NHS and Schools?
Who is going to put Policemen/Women on the street?

If it hadn't have been Cameron it'd be another Tory Git. They're all much of a muchness aren't they?
my friend said to vote yes will help parties like the bnp so im not sure i like that idea. im just confused like normal
Nor do I, so what is my vote worth?

That's true Soozy, my point being Cameron was way down the list in the first round and ended up winning...I see nowt fair about it. There are only three countries in the world that uses this system and one wants to ditch it.
Whether we vote for or against - apparently if we choose to simply put one X on our ballot paper we still can.

You're not the only one Justa. Again I don't believe we've been given enough info to make our own minds up

I was concerned about this but ..............................apparently not. I need to look into this a bit more TBH.
I'm not sure about that ..............i think Ed Milliband got through on a similar system - I'm quite happy with that TBH.
I know it's not a AV Joe, but they have three rounds and he was well down in the first round...I can't remember exactly how far down... he certainly wasn't the tories first choice, and that's how I look at the AV system.

I wasn't happy with it, although I will still vote for them. I think he's been p*ss poor to be honest.
awwww - hope you get better soon
thanks Joe and hope your man flu gets better quickly
