It's probably a fact that if JJ wins it, it will be largely because of a teen fan base. Fair enough some fans are not in their teens, but the large majority of teenage girls who watch BB would vote for him. You only have to look on the BB site, FB and Twitter, hez fit, hez gorg,  if he looked like Dave he'd be voted out this week.

What's your take on him having the largest fan base?
its not just that he is attractive...   Dale was visually attractive, or should have been, but his dire personality made him a total turn off to lots of people (me included).

Assume that what I type has had IMO put after every sentence...

John James is interesting... I find him unpredictable, and he certainly doesn't follow the usual trends (personality wise) for a lad his age, and with his looks.  His emotions show on his face like a small child... and to many of us that is endearing.

He doesn't think he is the finished product...   he is self critical.   He is funny...  his smile & laugh are infectious...    and to us that don't hate him... he is totally being himself.  he's like a big puppy dog...  when he's upset you wanna console him, when he's funny you wanna laugh with him... etc

He has that twinkle in his eye too...   that is not a "well fit" comment...  its a spark thats there... I dunno how to describe it...   some people have it, ...  I suppose charismatic might be the word for it.

And... he has entertained me this BB... far more than any other housemate

I am more than aware that there are tons of people on here that do not feel like this about him..   but I do, and so do some of the others that like him that I have spoken to.

he's not a quick witted one liner...   not like Rex, or even Josie...   I give you that...

a lot of the times I have laughed out loud have been looks he has given Josie,  or certain behaviour.

I was laughing at him when JJ first went into the house... at how happy he was to have a playdate friend...   it was funny (to me).

its lots of little things like that.  In terms of wit, that goes to Josie for me... she is very quick witted...

the first person to make me laugh in there this year was actually Steve! making some dry comment about feet (or his lack of them)

To me this sums it up exactly why JJ could win BB..... I nicked this of DS and the poster is spot on about the teenage voting tactics.

I've watched Big Brother since series one, and one of the things I've always liked about it is that unlike X Factor etc it's never been spoiled by teenage girls voting tactically to keep the "fit" one in. For some reason this year that's suddenly changed and you've got Twitter and Facebook full of teenagers going on about how "fit" John James is and orchestrating campaigns to evict anyone who has an argument with him. It's totally ridiculous and I feel like I've missed something somewhere, help me have I?

Poor Sunshine evicted just because she'd argued with him. A quite bitter campaign to get rid of Corin, because yes you've got it she argued with JJ and he didn't like her (thankfully that failed) and now they are targeting Ben. I tell you without Ben this show would be boring as hell, but clearly they'd rather watch more of the showmance.

I can think of several housemate over the years who were better looking than John James and I don't remember them having this cult around them?

I've watched for ten years now and I'm actually quite glad its finishing this year because quite honestly they are spoiling the show this year for me.

Can someone please tell me what's suddenly changed?

Next to Dave he is my least fave housemate this year, quite possibly up there with Maxwell my most disliked housemate of all time.  I can't get around his disgraceful, fanatical behaviour towards Rachel, Sunshine, Ben & Corin. His carry on/ romancewith Josie has put the tin lid on it. see.... I hated Maxwell too!
Me three......

for the record...  I've watched all of them except BB4 (& that was cos it was the summer I was courting MrDitty & I didn't watch any telly that year)...

generally... I know very very few teenagers that actually watch big brother, let alone mass together to form this JJ army.   In the Sixth Form House at my daughters school there is her, and another kid (Tom who recently joined here) and they are the only ones that watch it.  They had to barracade the TV Lounge doors so they could watch it in peace without they others turning the channel over.

I think JJ has more layers than the usual Dale, Maxwell, Sleazer types...that makes him a bit more interesting as a HM....however I'm sick of the Josie/JJ thing.  I'm not saying all his layers are good because I don't like him as a bloke.

For me, he's not an out and out villain...***

***I know the last few days people have had difficulty grasping this concept, can I clarify, this does NOT mean I like him or condone a lot of his behaviour...neither does it mean I think Ben is the Anti-Christ.  Ithangyoo

I only came to BB two years ago, so can't really comment on  previous years,  and have certainly not followed what is going on on FB or Twitter, but that post is interesting Dame Ann, and does suggest that maybe this idea of JJ having a large  *tweenie* following is correct.

I don't follow FB or Twitter, but my 14 year old granddaughter told me about the JJ thing on FB. Thank god she's not following it, or watching BB  I can't believe that organized voting is happening to keep the likes of Dave above Ben  Like Ben or dislike him, how the hell can he be worse than a fraud like Dave
