Sorry for resurrecting this, but I've only just watched a recording of tonight's HLs, and I was surprised no-one seems to have mentioned it:
As I said earlier, it wasn't obvious on the live broadcast, but I can confirm from the HLs that Josie was clapping too...

JJ was clapping, laughing and blowing into his hands in glee. I was too busy watching JJ I nevva noticed Josie.

You wouldn't have noticed it on the live show, as the director concentrated on the close-up of JJ which everyone has been discussing. As I said in an earlier post, I could hear someone-else clapping, but we weren't shown who it was.
On HLs, however, they showed the close-up of JJ again, but then cut to a wide-shot of the entire goup. On this, you can clearly see Josie (on JJ's right) clapping as well.

On tonights highlights didn't JJ say that when Sunshines name was announced first he thought that she was safe? Someone posted the same thing last night - tonights HL's confirmed it.

Yes, he did. He thought she was the first person to be saved.


I just found it interesting that, considering the stick that JJ was getting again tonight over the clapping. no-one noticed that he wasn't even the only HM doing it...

I saw JJ and Josie clapping, but neither of them looked like they were clapping in celebration of Sunshine going.

JJ's later comment that he thought she had been first to be saved, seemed like a good explanation for what I saw.

Correct. I hate him but fair is fair.
