Watching her make Phil Woolas squirm was my TV highlight of the week!

Ooh yes, I was chuckling to meself Big Grin

Every time she made a point, she stared at Woolas and waited for him to nod in agreement before carrying on to the next point ... priceless! Laugh

I'm with you Lassie - she'd make a brilliant PM.

Joanna even got a mention on Question Time last night and the panel were talking about her becoming an MP as she is so eloquent and erudite and, above all, tremendously gritty in her quest for fair play.

It's not just the Gurkhas for whom she fights so steadfastly, she also supports many other issues as well.

We let so much dross into this country so why are the Gurkhas who have fought and died for this country for over 200 years not allowed to take up residency? We at least owe them that.

It shouldn't be something which they have to plead and beg for, it should be a natural right of passage.

Well done Joanna for nailing Mr Woolas yesterday.

She was like a dog with a bone and was just not going to let go and he was backed into a corner by her. Made for brilliant TV.

Absolutely - she never loses her cool does she although she's probably seething inside.

That's her strength really. If it were me, I'd be going ballistic and ranting and raving nineteen to the dozen which gets you nowhere in the grand scheme of things.

I so admire her tenacity with regard to this cause. She is one amazing lady.

Looking forward to her becoming Dame Joanna Lumley. She makes me proud to be British. She's beautiful, classy, dignified, stylish, talented, compassionate and intelligent.

I adore her. Nod

Nod Classy, articulate, dignified, and everything Mrs BBV said! I do hope she will be made a Dame, rather than being overlooked by people who really contribute not very much, it's the people who try to make a difference that should be rewarded, NOT Actresses and such IMO. Thumbs Up Dame Joanna Lumley! Thumbs Up

Does anyone remember seeing her on that desert island programme? So stunning, but so totally lacking in vanity! Nod

She's lovely, and did you see the one where she went in search of the Northern Lights, the wonder on her face when she managed to see them in all their splendour!

Nod saw both these progs, she surprised me with the island one, never imagined her doing that.
she shot up a few knotches in my 'best gal on tv' award.
the northern lights were amazing and on my list of things to do! Thumbs Up

I was just trying to think Trollop and I couldn't remember. I think that maybe it was on BBC2 some while ago and then popped up on one of the various channels on Sky. Worth keeping an eye out though because, as you know, they are always repeating these things. It was quite a show at the end, glad I didn't miss it and hope you get to see it.
