When I read that particular quote I have to admit my jaw dropped.  What sort of person thinks there is no harm in just looking at child porn?

I've been catching up with the papers and reading a bit about Savile in the Sunday Times. Amongst the catalogue of  alleged offences........

"One of the women has written online about how Savile looked on while two other stars abused an underage girl in his dressing room............... She added that the second man had sex with one girl in full view of the others."

The Sunday Times has been told the star's identities but for legal reasons cannot publish their names.

You can understand now why I get so annoyed with the press. It was quite OK to plaster Ryan Giggs name all over the place for the henious offence of adultery (when legal reasons were in place) or hound  John Terry for calling that QPR fanny a rude word (having being cleared in a court of law) 

Joe it beggars belief.  I bet there a few 'celebrities' packing a twitch right now.

I was thinking that last night, this might have open a big can of worms.

Among the latest women who have come forward with allegations of sexual abuse is Katrina Rose, who was aged 14 in 1975.

She told the BBC she was invited by Savile to see a studio before stopping at his flat to call a cab, which is where she claims the assault took place.

"I froze. I just didn't know what to do. Did not know what was happening. I was quite a naive 14-year-old," said Ms Rose.

"I would feel physically sick even to hear his name spoken. The worst thing that I will never get out of my head is the taste of his cigar breath."

Ms Rose also said in an interview with BBC News that she chose not to pursue a police investigation at the time because she was told:

"You need to be prepared for the media circus it will cause, you will have the press camped on your doorstep. I decided I couldn't cope with that."

She continued: "And, as understandable as that is, I don't think I'll ever stop beating myself up for not having the courage to continue with that and get it out in the open while he was still alive."

Ms Rose has now called for "a full investigation of who knew, who deliberately covered it up. People had to have known something was not right.

I don't know if I have the stomach to watch the programme. I'm teetering on a hormonal knife edge as it is. All I can say on the positive is that I'm glad that I'm a parent now when these things can be discussed by everyone and children are taken more seriously...and more than that where children are more aware of where to go for help.

I was talking to my parents about this earlier Sprout and my dad was saying that he remembers his parents having conversations about him and his brothers not being allowed to play near or go in to Mr. X's house but they were never given a reason or explanation so didn't realise the dangers. Luckily they weren't particularly rebellious or overly curious children so never bothered.
