It's what the GBP want, but I have a feeling that we/they wont get it. We're definitely not in it together.

That's a given....

True.

I'm on a new laptop, I hope everything is working out alright.

I really hope he is guilty of these charges, I never liked the man.

He's very un-likeable isn't he?

It's a difficult one isn't it? He is 100% Labour, rabidly pro NHS, he hates the Tories, he hates Murdoch. Lord Sugar on Twitter seems to think that Clifford has been stitched up. On the other hand apparently there is no smoke without fire. I hope he isn't guilty of anything. However if he is guilty I hope the victims get the justice they deserve.

I wonder if, later on down the road, we will discover that this has all been caused by the threat to Murdoch? His journalists must know loads of stuff, that they've kept quiet.

The only reason why I dislike him is for who he works for in his job, he openly admitted once that he happily puts out lies about celebs he works for in the press,  the guy lies for a living.

I agree with you that if he is guilty then the victims deserve their justice.

IF Murdoch has anything to do with this and these are false claims to try and discredit him then the disgusting Murdoch would be toast, which would also be fantastic news for us all.

Sally Bercow, the wife of the Commons Speaker, is being sued for libel over a tweet which allegedly linked a former Conservative politician to false child abuse allegations.

Law firm Carter-Ruck confirmed it is representing the outspoken former Celebrity Big Brother contestant and ex-Labour council candidate against a ÂĢ50,000 claim by Lord McAlpine.

The former Tory politician was mistakenly implicated by Newsnight's November 2 broadcast about a paedophile ring that targeted children at a care home in Wrexham.

The peer's name was then widely mentioned on the internet, including social networking site Twitter, by users including Mrs Bercow, wife of John Bercow, comedian Alan Davies and Guardian columnist George Monbiot.

Lord McAlpine BBCLord McAlpine's lawyers still wish to settle with Mrs Bercow out of court

A spokesman for Carter-Ruck confirmed it was representing the 43 year old, against proceedings of libel brought by Lord McAlpine.

"He's limited his claim to ÂĢ50,000 in the court," the spokesman said.

Mrs Bercow deactivated her account but has now reopened it, sending a message on the site which said: "Humbly reactivating account on #Levesoneve *grabs tinsel & mince pies* coz learnt lesson, miss Twitter & will not screw up again. Hello!"

Although the programme did not name the peer - referring only to a senior Conservative from the Thatcher era - he was quickly identified online.

Newsnight carried a full, on-air apology for the broadcast a week later.

Lord McAlpine has asked those who linked him to child abuse allegations to apologise formally and pay a "sensible and modest amount", which he plans to donate to BBC Children In Need.

In a statement, Lord McAlpine's lawyer Andrew Reid said: "I am disappointed that the press has become aware of the proceedings between Lord McAlpine and Sally Bercow.

"However, I am still hopeful that we will be able to reach a sensible agreement to settle this matter with the second set of solicitors, instructed by Mrs Bercow, without the need to proceed to a trial.

"We have no further comment to make, and do not intend to deal with this issue through the media."

I hope that in time everyone who's guilty, from whichever area of life, is made to pay for their sick way of life that has ruined other's lives.

One good thing that can come from this in the showbiz area at least. That those who are popular with young girl's/women are aware of what the future can hold for them if they over step the mark just because they think they can.

The Sun reported that the magician described showbusiness in the 1970s as plagued by teenage "groupies" and added it was difficult to know their age.

He added: "The super-short mini-skirts, the teetering high heels, the full slap made it, as I say, impossible.

"Did I have such a life? Yes. I would be lying if I said I didn't. Were they all over 16? OMG I hope so. Can I remember them? No."

Jimmy Savile sexually abused dying hospice patients, detectives are expected to reveal.

The late TV star also used the cover of his charity work to attack victims at many hospitals around the country, according to a dossier to be published by Scotland Yard.

It marks the end of the police investigation into allegations against Savile alone.

Prosecutors are also expected to offer an explanation over why Savile was never charged after some complaints were investigated during his life.

In the 10-week inquiry launched in October, after a TV documentary exposed Savile as predatory and prolific paedophile, 450 people claimed they were his victims.

Detectives had already revealed that they have formally recorded 31 rape allegations and a total of 199 crimes, mostly of sex abuse, across 17 police force areas.

Peter Saunders, of the National Association for People Abused in Childhood, said: "Savile is one of the worst offenders in history.

"I'd put him alongside killers such ad Fred West, Harold Shipman and the Moors Murderers, because he killed his victims' spirit and soul.

"Everywhere he went was an opportunity to commit his vile crimes against the most vulnerable victims in the most inappropriate places, hospitals, hospices, schools and children's homes."

The inquiry in Savile's crimes was launched in October

He added: "Although Savile will never face justice, the police investigation has allowed people to speak up where they didn't before and free themselves of their burden."

It is thought that a Department of Health investigation into Savile's abuse at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor - where he was a volunteer worker and allowed unprecedented access - will be expanded because of allegations from many other health establishments.

Broadmoor patient Steven George said: "For those who had gone while he was still living to the police they must be absolutely furious and there were I understand quite a few, I experienced the same almost cynical laughter when I tried to report him when he was alive and I hated that.

"But I would keep on reporting and I think victims need to come forward."

Scotland Yard has closed the part of  Operation Yewtree that investigated claims of crimes committed by Savile alone, but continues to examine allegations of Savile offending with others, and suspects with no connection with him.

try here

An 82-year-old man from Berkshire has been arrested on suspicion of sexual offences as part of the Jimmy Savile sex abuse investigation accord to the Metropolitan Police. Guido understands that it is Rolf Harris.

He was – as Guido reported at the time – interviewed by the police under caution in January. There was no legal reason to not report this news – the papers chose not to for their own reasonsâ€Ķ

rumour has it that Edwina Currie has named him on twitter

I believed it about him years before it came out in the media or on the net sprout!

And whilst I understand the perils of trial by media, innocent until proven guilty etc. if it weren't for the media, the internet and Mark Williams Thomas in particular we wouldn't for e.g. have known about the extent of Savile's abuse. That never got as far as court and I suspect most of these others won't either
