Indeed that is what the Police are for but it seems to have done precious little in the past (missing photos, statements etc.) Of course people should go to the Police but getting it into the public eye as well is like insurance. I'm not in the least surprised that many of the victims are sceptical about going to the police when you consider the cover ups from the past.
I'm not in favour of trial by media at all but .........this is kind of like 'insurance' IMO.
yes I understand they were afraid to come forward when it all happened but now it is out there and people know, the cops really can't hide anything cos the victims know there is protection in numbers and those that report now can go public if ignored or nothing is done..
I agree with what Cagney has said up there ^^^ about the media circus and bandwagon jumping on, some for purposes that may not actually be connected to the actual real crimes and dilutes the victims cases cos of that. . tis pretty much what I was trying to say the other day..
